Miller (shoulder) threw a successful bullpen session Thursday, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marked Miller's first time throwing off a mound since Aug. 26 against the Royals prior to being placed on the DL with a left shoulder external impingement. A cortisone shot in the shoulder last week seemed to have helped expedite his recovery, as the left-hander noted that he's excited and his knee "feels great." He added that he's hopeful to return to the active roster for next week's three-game set in Tampa, but if not, then "certainly by the time (the Indians) get back" to Cleveland next Friday.

Manager Terry Francona said Miller (shoulder) could resume throwing Sunday or Monday, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller recently receive a cortisone shot in his left shoulder and hasn't thrown the ball around since suffering this injury against the Royals on Wednesday. Once he's able to resume throwing, a better timetable should come into focus regarding his eventual return.

Miller received a cortisone shot in his left shoulder and will be shut down for a few days, but the team does not believe he suffered a serious setback, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Images in Miller's left shoulder showed swelling in the bursa sac, hence the cortisone shot. According to Tom Withers of the Associated Press, the Indians will let Miller set his own timetable going forward. Manager Terry Francona said he doesn't expect to be able to count on the same volume from Miller when the lefty relief ace returns, but the team is confident he will help them in October. Given where we're at on the calendar and the fact Miller wasn't getting saves, fantasy owners in many redraft formats can consider cutting bait.

Miller was placed on the 10-day disabled list retroactive to Monday with a left shoulder impingement.
EDGE Analysis
The DL stint will be Miller's third of the season, as he's already missed time with hamstring and knee problems. He'll be eligible to return Sept. 6 against the Blue Jays, though an official recovery timetable has not yet emerged. Tyler Olson was recalled from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move.

MIller (knee) was activated from the 60-day disabled list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Miller has been out since late May with right knee inflammation. Prior to the injury, the lefty was hardly in vintage form, struggling to a 4.40 ERA and a 15.2 percent walk rate in 14.1 innings. He was reportedly battling the knee issue all season, though, so if he's fully healthy now the Indians will expect him to be back to his former dominant self. It's not yet clear how he fits into the revamped Cleveland bullpen after Brad Hand and Adam Cimber were acquired in late July, but if he's pitching like he used to then he'll certainly find himself in high-leverage spots on a regular basis. Zach McAllister was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Miller (knee) is scheduled to make his next rehab appearance at Triple-A Columbus on Monday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It will mark the sixth outing of Miller's rehab assignment, with the 33-year-old last pitching Saturday for Low-A Lake County. Indians manager Terry Francona suggested that Miller could be ready to pitch on back-to-back days at some point later during the week, which would likely represent the final hurdle the lefty would need to clear before returning from the 10-day disabled list. Miller has been sidelined since May 25 due to the setback with his right knee, which prompted the Indians to bring in Brad Hand and Adam Cimber via trade July 19.

Miller (knee) tossed a 35-pitch bullpen session Thursday and is set for his next rehab appearance with Low-A Lake County on Saturday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following Saturday's outing, Miller will attempt to appear in back-to-back minor-league contests Monday and Tuesday, which will provide a better gauge of where he's at in his recovery. If all goes well during these potential games, Miller could return to Cleveland's bullpen near the end of next week.

Miller (knee) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Tuesday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will have no impact on Miller's eligibility to return, as he's already missed two months. The lefty is scheduled to make a rehab appearance with Double-A Akron on Tuesday, and the plan is for him to pitch every other day for a bit before attempting to pitch on back-to-back days near the end of July.

Manager Terry Francona said Monday that Miller (knee) will need to prove himself in back-to-back outings before returning to the big leagues. "He's going to pitch (Tuesday) in Akron. He'll go every other day this week and then towards the end of the week into the weekend, he'll go back-to-back," Chris Assenheimer of The Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller has appeared in three rehab outings up to this point as he continues to work back from a knee injury that he suffered in May. Based on Francona's comments, the left-hander doesn't appear to be too far off, but the Indians have the luxury of a giant lead in the American League Central so there's no point in rushing him back if he isn't 100 percent.

Miller (knee) will likely need a few more weeks until he's able to return from the disabled list, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller threw in his first rehab appearance at Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday as he pitched a scoreless inning while racking up two strikeouts. Team president Chris Antonetti stated that Miller's velocity and secondary pitches appear to getting closer to normal, and that Miller could be back in the "next few weeks."
