Heaney did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks over 4.2 innings in a 13-6 loss against the Astros. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
It's the fourth time in Heaney's last five starts that he's failed to make it through the fifth inning -- he's worked to a 4.66 ERA in that span (19.1 innings). Command was the biggest issue for Heaney Sunday, as he matched a season high with four walks. Overall, the left-hander is 9-6 with a 4.22 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 135:54 K:BB across 27 starts (132.1 innings) this season. Heaney will look to provide more length in his next start, currently scheduled for next week in Toronto.

Heaney came away with a no-decision Tuesday in the Rangers' 2-1 win over the Mets, allowing five hits and a walk over 5.1 scoreless innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty held the opposition off the board for the third time in six August starts, wrapping up the month with a 2.39 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 31:7 K:BB through 26.1 innings, but Heaney's had to settle for a no-decision in four straight outings and has only one quality start during that stretch, as manager Bruce Bochy is reluctant to let the oft-injured 32-year-old work more than about 80 pitches. While that usage puts a cap on his fantasy value, Heaney's still on an impressive roll heading into his next trip to the mound, which is likely to come at home early next week against the Astros.

Heaney allowed three runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five batters over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against Minnesota on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney entered the contest having given up just two homers over his past seven outings covering 32 innings, but he had trouble keeping the ball in the park against the Twins. The three long balls he allowed tied a season-high mark, though the impact was softened by the fact that all three were solo shots. Still, Heaney failed to take advantage of his team's generous early run support, as he was pulled after just 4.1 frames. The left-hander emerged from the All-Star break on a roll with four wins and a 2.33 ERA over 27 innings across his first five starts, but he's gone less than five frames in each of his past three outings and has allowed seven runs over 9.1 innings during that span.

Heaney did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk over 3.2 innings against the Brewers. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney allowed all three runs in the third on three doubles and a single, then was pulled with two outs and one man on in the fourth after 84 pitches when manager Bruce Bochy decided to play the matchup and bring in righty Chris Stratton to face William Contreras. Heaney maintains a decent 4.27 ERA with nine wins and 122 strikeouts in 118 innings on the season for the first place Rangers. However, in his last two starts he's allowed 13 baserunners and four runs over just five innings. He'll look to regain his form next week in Minnesota during a four-game series against the Twins.

Heaney allowed a run on three hits and two walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, manager Bruce Bochy explained after the game that Heaney was under the weather and missed his bullpen session during the week. Bochy added Heaney was on a short leash, and he quickly worked into a jam in the second inning before Grant Anderson was brought in to relieve him. This was Heaney's shortest outing since his season debut, though the extenuating circumstances shouldn't be an issue going forward. The southpaw is at a 4.17 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 119:47 K:BB through 114.1 innings over 23 starts. He's projected for a home start versus the Brewers next week.

Heaney (9-6) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out four over 5.2 shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney recorded his third straight win and his second consecutive scoreless start. The southpaw's main improvement of late has been keeping the ball down with just two home runs allowed over his last five starts. For the season, he has a 4.14 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 118:45 K:BB through 113 innings over 22 outings. Heaney is projected to make his next start on the road in San Francisco.

Heaney (8-6) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two hits without walking a batter over six scoreless innings against the White Sox. He struck out 11.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney needed just 80 pitches to complete six shutout innings. He came out to start the seventh frame, but was pulled after allowing a lead-off single to Yoan Moncada. The 32-year-old lefty was unable to complete six innings in any of his previous 10 outings, posting a 5.63 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 48:22 K:BB across 46.1 innings during that span. Heaney currently lines up to face the Marlins next.

Heaney (7-6) allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings to earn the win Wednesday over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney gave up a three-run home run to Alex Bregman in the first inning before settling down. Over his last six outings, Heaney has given up 21 runs (20 earned) across 29 innings, and that's with a pair of scoreless appearances in the mix. The veteran southpaw is at a 4.62 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 103:43 K:BB through 101.1 innings over 20 starts this season. He's tentatively projected for a favorable home start versus the White Sox next week.

Heaney allowed four runs on five hits and three walks over five innings in Friday's loss to the Dodgers. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage against Heaney came during the Dodgers' three-run third inning. He's given up at least four runs in three of his last five outings but combined for 10.1 shutout frames in the other two during that span. His season ERA rose to 4.58 with a 100:40 K:BB through 96.1 frames. Heaney's next outing is lined up to be in Houston next week.

Heaney (6-6) earned the win Saturday, allowing six hits and one walk over 5.1 scoreless innings against Cleveland. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney was able to keep the Guardians at bay for 5.1 innings despite allowing six hits, doing most of the damage with his four-seamer. It was the lefty's fourth time this season in which he did not allow a run over five or more innings of work. It was also a nice rebound start after allowing eight runs (seven earned) in his previous outing before the All-Star break. On the downside, Heaney still has not made it through six innings in a start since May 21 against the Rockies.
