Heaney allowed a run on five hits and a walk while striking out two over five innings in a no-decision in Tuesday's suspended game versus the White Sox, which was completed Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney has allowed one run or fewer in three of his five outings in August, including each of his last two appearances. He was able to pitch Wednesday, as he didn't get an opportunity to pitch prior to the game getting suspended in the top of the first inning Tuesday. Heaney is now at a 3.95 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 133:37 K:BB over 134.1 innings through 27 starts this season. The southpaw threw 71 pitches (44 strikes) Wednesday, and while his spot in the rotation would come up for a home start versus the Athletics on Sunday, it's possible the Rangers will use a spot starter on a bullpen day to keep Heaney on regular rest. If that happens, he'd be pushed back a day into a much tougher matchup at home versus the Yankees.

Heaney allowed five hits and a walk over five scoreless innings in a no-decision Wednesday against Pittsburgh. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
It was a strong rebound effort from Heaney after the southpaw surrendered seven earned runs over nine innings in his previous two starts. However, Heaney failed to come away with a win despite his performance, as the Rangers couldn't get a run across until the bottom of the ninth. Overall, Heaney's 4-13 on the year with a 4.04 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 131:36 K:BB across 129.1 innings. He'll look to build on Wednesday's outing in his next start -- he's currently lined up for an enticing road matchup against the White Sox.

Heaney (4-13) yielded four runs on five hits and a walk over 4.1 innings Friday, striking out eight and taking a loss against Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney allowed one run through three frames before Carlos Santana took him deep for a three-run shot in the fifth inning. Heaney is now 0-3 with a brutal 6.66 ERA over his last five starts. He has just one win since the start of July. Heaney owns a 4.20 ERA with a 123:35 K:BB through 124.1 innings this season. His next start is lined up to be at home against the Pirates.

Heaney (4-12) took the loss Sunday against the Yankees after he gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander labored throughout the contest and had given up two runs through his first four frames, but he departed with runners on the corners with two outs in the fifth inning and had those baserunners added to his tally when Giancarlo Stanton clubbed a three-run homer off Jose Leclerc. It's the second time in Heaney's past three starts that he's failed to complete five innings, and he's surrendered 10 runs (nine earned) between those two short outings. He has a 4.05 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 115:34 K:BB across 120 innings this season and tentatively lines up for a matchup with Minnesota this weekend.

Heaney did not factor into the decision in Monday's 4-3 win versus Houston, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over six innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The Texas southpaw collected his sixth quality start -- marking his first since June 30 at Baltimore -- with this 80-pitch effort. The only blemish on Heaney's evening came via a solo shot given up to Alex Bregman in the third inning. After struggling with a 6.28 ERA in 14.1 innings over his first three post-break starts, Heaney lowered his season ERA to 4.12 with this performance. The 33-year-old lines up to make his next start against the Yankees in New York this weekend.

Heaney (4-11) took the loss against the Cardinals on Wednesday, allowing six runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two batters over 4.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney yielded a tolerable seven baserunners, but six of them came around to score. The southpaw surrendered three runs on three hits and a walk in the second inning, then gave up a hit to three of the four batters he faced in the fifth, with each of those baserunners eventually coming around to score. The six total runs tied a season-worst mark for Heaney, who had been pitching pretty well coming into Wednesday, posting a 2.78 ERA over his previous six starts. The veteran hurler will look to bounce back in his next start, which is tentatively slated to be at home against Houston.

Heaney didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Blue Jays, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage against Heaney came early Friday, as Toronto scored three times on a pair of doubles in the first inning. It's the first time since April 25 that Heaney's been charged with more than three earned runs in a start -- he'd posted a 2.81 ERA in 15 outings prior to Friday. Overall, the left-hander is 4-10 this year with a 3.77 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 105:30 K:BB across 105 innings. Heaney's currently in line to face the Cardinals on the road in his next start, barring the Rangers don't make a move before next week's trade deadline.

Heaney (4-10) allowed two hits and three walks over five scoreless innings Sunday, striking out four and picking up a win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney wasn't overly efficient and needed 100 pitches to get through five frames. Still, he kept the Orioles off the board. The southpaw's allowed three or fewer earned runs in 15 consecutive starts since the start of May. During that span, he's gone 4-7 with an impressive 2.81 ERA and 79:20 K:BB. On the year, Heaney owns a 3.60 ERA through 100 frames. His next outing is expected to come in Toronto.

Heaney (3-10) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks over five innings as the Rangers fell 6-3 to the Astros. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw has been one of the unluckiest pitchers in the majors this season. Heaney hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in an outing since late April, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 75:17 K:BB over his last 72 innings, but due to a lack of support from his offense and bullpen, he has just a 3-7 record to show for it. Heaney's in the final year of his current contract, and if Texas elects to become sellers at the trade deadline -- the defending World Series champs are six games under .500 and 7.5 games back of the final wild-card spot in the AL -- a change of scenery could be in store for the lefty.

Heaney came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rays, allowing three hits and two walks over 5.1 scoreless innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty continued a surge that began when the calendar flipped to June. Heaney has given up three runs or less in seven straight starts, delivering a 2.95 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 46:10 K:BB through 39.2 innings over that stretch -- ratios very reminiscent of his 2022 breakout with the Dodgers. Heaney will look to stay sharp in his next outing, which lines up for a Lone Star Series clash with the Astros in Houston next weekend.
