Heaney will start Sunday's game against the White Sox, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't expected Heaney would get a second turn through the rotation this week after lasting six innings and taking a loss Tuesday against the Rangers, but he'll return to the hill Sunday after the previously scheduled starter, Shohei Ohtani, was recommended to undergo Tommy John surgery. It's unclear if Ohtani plans to heed that advice, but with the Japanese phenom not set to pitch again this season, the Angels will likely roll with a five-man rotation rather than the six-man staff that was needed to give the rookie his desired six days' rest between starts. While he'll draw a favorable matchup versus a strikeout-prone White Sox squad, Heaney hasn't been overly reliable since the All-Star break, turning in a 4.85 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 over his nine second-half starts.

Heaney (8-9) allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk across six innings Tuesday to take the loss against the Rangers. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney allowed just two baserunners over the first three innings before allowing a pair of solo home runs in the fourth. He allowed another pair of runs on two hits and a walk in the fifth before working through the sixth. Unfortunately, Heaney didn't get much offensive support and suffered his ninth loss of the season. He's allowed at least four earned runs in three of his last four starts, though he has compiled a solid 21:5 K:BB in that span. Heaney will look to improve upon his 4.16 ERA next week against this same Rangers club.

Heaney held the Padres to two runs on four hits while walking one and striking out six over 7.1 innings. He did not factor in the decision in an extra-inning win Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney bounced back after giving up five runs in his last outing, but unlike that start, he was not given enough run support to pick up the win. The oft-injured southpaw has not only stayed healthy this season (22 starts), but he has also put together fantasy-relevant numbers with a 3.88 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and a career-best 3.7 K/BB ratio over 134.2 innings. Heaney is slated to make his next start on the road against the Rangers this Saturday.

Heaney (7-7) gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings and picking up the win against the Tigers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels put up a seven spot in the first inning, so Heaney was able to notch his seventh victory despite getting roughed up a bit. The southpaw probably would have gone further in the contest (only 85 pitches Tuesday), but he let a curveball catch too much of the plate in the fifth inning, and Jeimer Candelario made him pay with a two-out, two-run homer. Heaney has been serviceable as a fantasy asset this season, carrying a 3.96 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 3.6 K/BB ratio over 21 starts. He will complete a two-start week with a home matchup against the Athletics on Sunday.

Heaney (6-7) surrendered four runs on six hits while fanning five across six innings Thursday as he took the loss against Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney cruised through the first three innings without allowing a run, but he fell apart in the fourth when he gave up all four of his runs on the day. Despite taking the loss, he's managed to work deep into ballgames of late, tossing six or more frames in each of his past seven outings. Heaney owns a 3.75 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with a 116:32 K:BB through 122.1 innings in 2018.

Heaney (6-6) got the win against the Astros on Sunday, giving up one earned run on four hits over six innings, striking out four and walking two as the Angels cruised to a 14-5 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney held up his end of the bargain on a day where his team afforded him plenty of run support, picking up his sixth win of the season with his fourth straight quality start. The 27-year-old is having a solid campaign overall, as he's now sporting a 3.66 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP and a 106:32 K:BB through 108.1 innings. He'll take the mound next against Seattle next Friday.

Heaney (5-6) earned the win Sunday, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks across seven innings in the 4-3 win over the Dodgers. He gave up a home run and struck out 10 batters.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney has 20 strikeouts over 14 innings in his last two outings, yielding six runs in the process. He's fanned 96 batters in 96 innings with a 3.94 ERA. The 27-year-old left-hander surpassed his career high in strikeouts Sunday and should soon pass his career mark of 105.2 innings. He'll carry his 5-6 record into another matchup with the Dodgers on Saturday.

Heaney (4-6) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out 10 over seven innings in a loss to the Mariners on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels couldn't muster much of anything against Wade LeBlanc and company and thus Heaney was stuck with another loss, but this was an encouraging bounce-back performance after his three-homer blowup against Boston last week. Heaney induced 18 swinging strikes on 106 pitches and matched his season high in strikeouts. He had managed more than five strikeouts just once in his previous seven starts coming into Tuesday. The lefty is tentatively lined up to start Sunday's series finale against the Dodgers.

Heaney allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four over 3.1 innings in Wednesday's loss to the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney was ultimately bailed out of the loss after the Angels erased a 6-0 deficit, but it was still an ugly outing despite the no-decision. The lefty allowed three home runs -- the second time that's happened in four starts -- and failed to make it out of the fourth inning for the second time all year. He's still sporting a solid 3.95 ERA on the year, but he's been struggling of late, working to a 6.33 ERA with seven homers allowed in 21.1 innings over his last four starts. He'll look to right the ship Tuesday in Seattle.

Heaney (4-5) picked up the win against the Blue Jays on Friday, scattering nine hits and giving up one earned run over seven innings, striking out four with no walks in the Angels' 2-1 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Heaney has had a couple of hiccups over his last five starts, giving up five earned runs on both June 11 and May 31, but he's having a terrific season, with a 3.43 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over a sample size that now spans 78.2 innings. He hasn't been providing eye-popping strikeout totals, but he's made up for it thanks to those solid ratios. His command has been an especially impressive aspect of his recent run, as Heaney is sporting a 22:4 K:BB over those last five outings.
