Verdugo went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's spring training loss to the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Verdugo has gotten off to a hot start this spring, going 4-for-12 with a pair of doubles through five games. The 21-year-old will have to keep this momentum going if he wants to usurp Matt Kemp and Joc Pederson for the left field job battle. The talented prospect should already be on dynasty-league owners' radars, but those in standard formats should monitor his progress this spring in the event he is able to earn a starting job.

Verdugo hit a pinch-hit home run in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
It was his third career hit and first career home run. Verdugo made four straight starts following his callup, but he's been on the bench for the Dodgers' last seven games. He's simply not playing enough to be worthwhile outside of deeper NL-only formats.

Verdugo will bat seventh in the order and draw the start in center field Sunday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Verdugo made his MLB debut Friday and has started every game since. With Corey Seager (elbow) on the shelf, Chris Taylor has moved from center field to shortstop, opening the door for the 21-year-old to see regular playing time. Verdugo is 1-for-7 to start his career, but a .825 OPS at the Triple-A level suggests better things at the plate are to come.

Verdugo will start in center field and bat eighth Friday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
With Corey Seager (elbow) ruled out for the weekend, the door is open for Verdugo to make several starts right away following his promotion; Chris Taylor is needed at shortstop. Verdugo may not have standout power or speed, but he's displayed patience and exceptional contact skills at the upper levels of the minors. The Dodgers were adamant about holding onto him at the deadline.

Manager Dave Roberts said Friday afternoon that Verdugo will make his major league debut Friday night against the Padres, MLB Network Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
It remains to be seen where Verdugo will slot into the lineup, but it appears his name will be in there somewhere when Roberts reveals his starters for Friday's contest.

The Dodgers will call up Verdugo from Triple-A Oklahoma City when rosters expand Friday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was previous speculation from J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News that the callup was coming Thursday, but this confirms Friday will mark Verdugo's arrival. The 21-year-old's immediate path to playing time may limit his appeal in most mixed fantasy leagues, but that could change if Corey Seager (elbow) is forced to miss extended time. Verdugo has breezed through Oklahoma City with a .314/.389/.436 performance, accompanied by six home runs, nine stolen bases, 52 walks and only 50 strikeouts across 495 plate appearances. His fantasy ceiling remains a hot subject of debate, especially since the Pacific Coast League often bolsters mediocre bats. However, his makeup points to a potential long-term, major-league starter. Perhaps he'll yield across-the-board value instead of doing so overwhelmingly in a particular stat category. The batting eye improvements he's made the last two seasons attest to his increasingly big-league-ready skills.

The Dodgers are calling up Verdugo from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 21-year-old's immediate path to playing time may not make him too valuable in most mixed fantasy leagues, but that could change if Corey Seager (elbow) is forced to miss extended time. Verdugo was given a scheduled day off Thursday at Triple-A Oklahoma City, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the trade deadline approaching, Verdugo's absence from the lineup Thursday raised eyebrows initially. However, the club is simply giving Verdugo a scheduled day off heading into the weekend rather than removing him for anything related to a trade. Verdugo, the Dodgers' top outfield prospect, is slashing .328/.401/.446 with 51 RBI at Triple-A this season.

Verdugo is hitting .347/.417/.467 with three home runs and eight steals on nine attempts with an absurd 31:35 K:BB in 291 at-bats for Triple-A Oklahoma City.
EDGE Analysis
Verdugo, who just turned 21 in May, is having his way with Pacific Coast League pitchers, showing an incredibly advanced hit tool and approach. The one complaint would be the lack of above-average over-the-fence power, but the rest of the offensive profile is ready for primetime.

Verdugo, 21, is batting .317/.396/.398 with one home run, 24 RBI and two steals through 44 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City.
EDGE Analysis
Verdugo has been raking for the entire season, and he has more walks (22) than strikeouts (21) on the year. However, his power and stolen base numbers leave something to be desired. In addition, the Dodgers have a glut of outfielders, so it is unlikely Verdugo sees much playing time, if any, in the big leagues in 2017. Still, his hit tool is elite, and he should vie for an everyday position in 2018.
