Colome walked one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Since retaking the closer role at the start of August, Colome has pitched 5.1 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and two walks in his last six appearances. He has just two strikeouts in that span, but he's also converted five of his seven saves this month. The right-hander has a 4.12 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 38:18 K:BB through 43.2 innings overall, but he should remain firmly in the ninth-inning conversation with no guarantee Taylor Rogers (finger) will return this season.

Colome earned the save over the White Sox on Tuesday by pitching a perfect ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
Colome didn't collect any strikeouts in the outing, but he mowed down Chicago in order on only 10 pitches in the ninth inning. Prior to August, the right-hander was almost entirely off fantasy radars, posting a 4.70 ERA and 1.49 WHIP while notching only two saves and five holds. He has turned things around dramatically this month, however, going 4-for-4 in save attempts while holding opponents scoreless over 4.1 innings covering five appearances. He is suddenly worth a pickup for fantasy managers in need of saves.

Colome struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning and earned a save over the Astros on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Colome has converted all three save opportunities since Taylor Rogers (finger) was placed on the injured list at the end of July. He's riding a 4.1-inning scoreless streak, lowering his season ERA to 4.32 through 41.2 innings. He should continue getting most of the save chances as long as Rogers is out.

Colome got the save in Thursday's 5-3 victory versus the Astros, recording the final out.
EDGE Analysis
Colome entered with one on and two out in the ninth after Danny Coulombe allowed two runs and induced a Martin Maldonado line out to secure the win. The 32-year-old now has four saves, four blown saves and five holds on the campaign and looks to be Minnesota's closer at least for the interim.

Colome threw a scoreless ninth inning to earn his third save in Tuesday's win over the Reds. He gave up a hit and walk with a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Colome received the first save opportunity since Hansel Robles was traded Friday. With Taylor Rogers possibly missing the rest of the season with a thumb injury, Colome may become Minnesota's closer by default. Colome began the season as Minnesota's closer, but he was moved to low-leverage roles after he struggled with an 8.31 ERA and three blown saves in April. He's improved the last month with a 3.72 ERA, 8.4 K/9 and 2.8 BB/9 in July. However, the closer role for the Twins could be in flux as the team may want to give Jorge Alcala and other younger players opportunities as the team looks toward 2022.

Colome gave up three runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Reds to raise his ERA to 5.40.
EDGE Analysis
Colome began the season as Minnesota's closer, but was moved to low-leverage roles after he struggled with a 8.31 ERA and three blown saves in April. He has improved since with a 4.00 ERA and 8.0 K/9 since May 1, but walks remain an issue as he has a 4.0 BB/9 over that span. He'll likely remain in middle relief and lower leverage roles unless he improves significantly for a long stretch. Since he's on a one-year deal, it's also likely he's traded or released at some point in the next month or so with the Twins far out of playoff contention.

Colome is being moved to a lower-leverage role for the time being, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Rocco Baldelli said he spoke to Colome earlier Tuesday to let him know. Taylor Rogers will likely get the majority of the save chances for now, while Hansel Robles might be the next man up. Colome is 2-for-5 in save chances and has given up 10 hits and six earned runs over his last four innings (five appearances).

Colome served up a walkoff two-run home run to Jordan Luplow, the lone batter he faced Monday in Minnesota's 5-3 loss to Cleveland in 10 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Entering a 3-3 game with no outs and a runner on second, Colome threw only three pitches before Luplow took him deep to end the game. It was yet another meltdown in a high-leverage spot for Colome, who already has three losses and three blown saves on his ledger. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli suggested after the game that he still trusts Colome in big spots, but the 32-year-old has unquestionably lost some security in the closer's role since the start of the season. Taylor Rogers has already picked up a save and has yet to let in a run over 9.1 innings, making him the top candidate to get a look as the closer if the Twins ultimately choose to yank Colome from the job.

Colome (1-2) took the loss and blew his third save of the season Wednesday, giving up four runs (one earned) on one hit and two walks over 1.2 innings as the Twins fell 13-12 to the A's in 10 innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Minnesota's defense completely fell apart after Byron Buxton had given the team a two-run lead in the top of the 10th, as errors by Travis Blankenhorn at second base and Luis Arraez at third handed the win to Oakland. Even with the unearned runs cushioning the blow to his ratios, Colome sports a 5.63 ERA through eight innings, and while his 8:2 K:BB is solid, manager Rocco Baldelli may have to start looking to other options in save situations.

Colome (1-1) picked up the win Thursday after tossing a scoreless ninth frame against the Red Sox. He allowed one hit and no walks while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Colome came into a tied ninth inning and held things in check to position Minnesota for the win. The 32-year-old let Christian Arroyo break through with a double but otherwise stood his ground. It was a reassuring bounce-back outing for Colome after he imploded for three runs on four hits in his last appearance. Colome has tallied two saves so far this season.
