Colome picked up the save, allowing a hit in the ninth inning of a 4-2 win Thursday in San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
After giving up a one-out single, Colome got Joc Pederson to ground into a game-ending double play. With Daniel Bard having pitched in consecutive games, Colome was given the opportunity to collect his third save. The 33-year-old has been excellent of late and has allowed only one (unearned) run in his last 11 innings.

Colome earned the save against the Tigers in Game 2 of a doubelheader Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out one over one inning.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't a smooth performance for Colome, as he threw only 12 of 22 pitches for strikes and nearly blew a three-run lead. He gave up a two-run, two-out triple in the ninth but was able to get Harold Castro to go down on strikes to finish the contest. Daniel Bard picked up five of the first six Colorado saves this season, but he curiously hasn't pitched since April 19. Colome has now collected two saves this season and appears lined up for closer duties whenever Bard isn't used in that role.

Colome walked one batter in a scoreless ninth inning and earned a save over the Phillies on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
After blowing a save chance in his first 2022 appearance, Colome notched his first save of the year Monday. He issued a two-out walk to Rhys Hoskins but had no trouble finishing off the 4-1 victory. Colome is now sporting a 2.45 ERA through 3.2 innings this season.

Colome allowed one hit but pitched a scoreless eighth inning in Monday's win over Texas.
EDGE Analysis
Colome entered the game with the score tied at three and allowed a leadoff hit, but he was able to escape the inning otherwise unscathed. It was a bounce-back effort from Colome, who surrendered the lead in his first appearance with the team during the team's weekend series against the Dodgers. Colome has now made each of his appearances in the eighth inning in games with potential save chances for Colorado. Daniel Bard has pitched the ninth on each occasion, and Bard appears to be the frontrunner for saves early on in the campaign.

Colome signed a one-year contract with Colorado on Saturday, Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colome's 155 saves give him the coveted "proven closer" label, and he continues to find work in the ninth inning despite the fact that his career 21.7 percent strikeout rate comes in far below typical closer territory. He picked up 17 saves for the Twins last season despite a mediocre 4.15 ERA, and it would hardly be a surprise to see him eclipse that number in 2022. While Coors Field will inflate his ERA and WHIP, he only has to beat out a mediocre mix of Carlos Estevez, Daniel Bard and Robert Stephenson to earn a ninth-inning role. If you want the cheapest path to saves and don't care about getting much else from your closer, Colome could be the answer.

Minnesota have declined their mutual option in Colome's contract and will buy out his 2022 contract for $1.25 million, making him a free agent, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Had both sides elected the option, Colome would have made $5.5 million in 2022. Colome was signed to shore up the back end of the bullpen, but he lost the closer job after an awful April where he blew three of six save chances and had a 8.31 ERA. He improved in the second half of the season and regained the closer role in September. However, the Twins decided to move on even though his option wasn't too expensive for a veteran closer/set-up man.

Colome allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks while striking out two across one inning to earn the save Tuesday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Colome failed to maintain the shutout, though he did manage to escape his outing with his 17th save of the season. He surrendered a leadoff single, but then appeared to settle down by recording consecutive outs. However, Colome followed that up by allowing two singles, forcing him to strikeout Robbie Grossman with the tying run on first base. Despite the poor outing, Colome has allowed five earned runs across his last 12.1 frames while also compiling a 17:2 K:BB in that span.

Colome pitched a perfect inning against the Blue Jays on Friday, striking out one to earn the save.
EDGE Analysis
Colome faced the heart of the Toronto order -- Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette and Teoscar Hernandez -- while protecting a two-run lead. He made easy work of the trio of batters, needing only five pitches -- all of which were strikes -- to retire the side in order. The right-hander has successfully converted nine of his last 10 save opportunities and has held opponents scoreless in 12 of his last 14 appearances overall.

Colome allowed two earned runs on three hits and one walk while striking out two in the ninth inning to earn the save Wednesday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Colome entered the game with a three-run lead, but he quickly ran into trouble by allowing three of the first four batters he faced to reach base. He settled down in time to record with the final out with the tying run at third base and go-ahead run at second. Despite the rocky outing, Colome has pitched well of late, as he's allowed only three earned runs across 10.1 frames in September. He now has 15 saves on the season while maintaining a 3.98 ERA with a 55:23 K:BB acoss 61 innings.

Colome gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless seventh inning during the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader to record his 14th save of the season in a 6-3 win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
After blowing his last save chance Monday, Colome got an opportunity to get right back on his horse and didn't disappoint. Since moving back into the closer role at the beginning of August, the right-hander has a 2.29 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB through 19.2 innings while converting 12 of 15 save chances, adding two wins to his ledger as well.
