Ramos has converted all of his save chances successfully, but he still holds unattractive ratios for a closer: a 3.92 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. He often tends to land himself in hot water in non-save situations with poor control; over the course of his nine saves, Ramos has issued just four walks, but his 13 non-save appearances have resulted in nine walks. Fortunately for fantasy owners dealing with Ramos' subpar ratios, the sample sizes is too small for him to hurt your stats too much.

He's converted all five of his save opportunities on the campaign and has a firm hold on the closer's role.

It's been a disappointing start for Ramos, as he's had just four save opportunities all season. With the Marlins sporting a 14-22 record and a 4.35 team ERA, there might not be a significant uptick in chances for Ramos, either. Still, he's posted a 2.57 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 10.7 K/9 dating back to 2015 and remains a solid fantasy asset.

While the run was unearned, Ramos deserved it, as it was his own error that caused Magneuris Sierra to go to second base; he then came home with the winning run on Dexter Fowler's RBI single. The ugly outing polished off a full-blown bullpen meltdown by the Marlins, as Kyle Barraclough and Brad Ziegler conspired to give up a four-run lead before Ramos came into a tie game. After netting 40 saves last season, Ramos has seen only three opportunities this year, but he's converted all of them successfully.

The closer hadn't taken the hill since April 23, and his last save opportunity was April 22. Ramos has been a solid fantasy option since taking over closing duties in 2015.
