Ramos worked around a hit to pick up his 14th save in Monday's win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos has been shaky lately, as he has given up two runs, five hits, a walk and a hit-by-pitch over his last three save opportunities. It hasn't come back to bite him, though, as Monday's save gave him his 14th in as many chances in 2016. Ramos has a 1.26 WHIP, well above the typical rate for an elite closer, and he'll blow one sooner than later if he keeps filling up the bases like this.

Ramos allowed one run on three hits and one walk over one inning to earn his 13th save Saturday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos was trying to protect a two-run lead and had given up a run and a loaded the bases with nobody out before inducing a double play and a ground out to avoid a catastrophe. Despite being perfect into 13 save opportunities, he's now allowed runs in each of his last two appearances to raise his ERA to 2.00.

Ramos struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Sunday to notch his 11th save of the season as the Marlins downed the Nationals 5-1.
EDGE Analysis
Kyle Barraclough started the ninth but gave up a hit and a walk without recording an out, creating a save situation for Ramos. He's sharpened his control in May, not walking anyone in six of seven appearances, and he has a firm hold of the Marlins' closing gig given his perfect 11-for-11 showing in save opportunities so far in 2016.

Ramos struck out a batter in a clean ninth for his 10th save of the year Wednesday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
After struggling with his command while taking the loss in a non-save situation Monday, it was key for Ramos to bounce back in this one, and he did just that. The 11 walks in 14 innings remain concerning, but Ramos has also allowed just six hits while striking out 21 -- that'll take the edge off for sure. It helps that no one's coming for his job as Miami's closer.

Pitching in a non-save situation, Ramos allowed a run in two-thirds of an inning thanks to three walks.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos has been very strong this season for the Marlins, having allowed runs in just two of his outings. Monday's slip-up is just a blip on the radar for Ramos, who will be looking for save number 10 the next time he takes the mound.

Ramos nailed down his ninth save with a perfect frame Wednesday against Arizona, striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins may struggle to stick around .500, but it's clear they're going to play a lot of close games, which means plenty of work for Ramos. He's 9-for-9 on save chances to start the year and has only allowed a single run on five hits. The only small worry is that he's walked eight in 11.1 innings; Ramos posted a career-best 3.33 BB/9 last year, well down from prior seasons, but it's spiked back up again in the early going here. That said, he's always been effective even when walking a few too many because of just how hard he is to hit.

Ramos struck out one and scooped his eighth save with a clean ninth inning Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos is 8-for-8 in save chances this season and sports a nifty 0.87 ERA. His 14:8 K:BB isn't exactly optimal and often times makes things more interesting than the Marlins would like. Regardless of the stress he can bring, Ramos is getting the job done much the same as he did last season when finished ninth in the NL with 32 saves.

Ramos made things interesting in the process of notching his seventh save Friday, walking two batters before recording a strikeout to close out a 6-3 victory over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old issued at least one free pass for the third time in the last four games, but managed to escape unscathed in a 17-pitch outing. Ramos has also notched a strikeout in every appearance but his first this season, and is a perfect 7-for-7 in save chances. He's also surrendered a single earned run over 9.1 innings of work, leading to a stellar 0.96 ERA. While his 13:8 K:BB ratio certainly stands to improve, he's proven to be an effective force in the final frame when called upon in 2016.

Ramos notched his sixth save of the year Thursday despite allowing a run on two hits against the Dodgers. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
It took Ramos more than three weeks into the season to finally give up his first run, which he did by giving up consecutive singles and a run-scoring wild pitch to open the ninth inning. Fortunately, he had a three-run lead to work with and was able to stop the bleeding immediately, getting the next three batters in order. His job's secure at the head of the Miami bullpen, but with Ramos having pitched four of the last five days, manager Don Mattingly may want to treat him with care.

Ramos picked up his fifth save as he worked around a hit and a walk to record a clean inning.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos has yet to allow a run this season in eight innings, but he has issued six walks now. So far it has worked out -- Ramos has allowed just three hits. But even in 2014, when Ramos issued 43 walks in 64 innings, he finished with a solid 2.11 ERA. Ramos is one of the rare pitchers who is unhittable enough to get around a big walk rate, but even he is starting to play with fire at his current 6.8 BB/9 pace.
