Garcia is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Garcia came out of the gate hot once he was activated off the disabled list, but after two straight hitless performances, he'll head to the bench for a night off. Rio Ruiz will take over at the hot corner to replace him.

Garcia is out of the lineup Monday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Garcia had started the last three games at third base since being activated from the disabled list, so it appears he ranks as the Braves' preferred option at the position. Rio Ruiz, who had been filling in for Garcia while he was tending to an Achilles injury, will pick up the start at the hot corner Monday while Garcia rests up.

Garcia is starting at third base and hitting sixth Saturday against the Reds, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is his second straight start against a righty, so it seems like he is back to being the Braves' primary third baseman, even with lefty-hitting third base prospect Rio Ruiz on the 25-man roster. Garcia has been worth negative-0.4 wins this season, according to FanGraphs, so he could give way to Ruiz with a prolonged cold streak at the plate.

Garcia, who was activated from the DL Friday, is starting at third base and hitting seventh against the Reds, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a bit of a surprise, as the Braves face right-handed starter Bronson Arroyo, and Rio Ruiz was expected to occupy the strong side of the third base platoon. Perhaps it will be more of an even split going forward, which will make it difficult to get value from either third baseman.

Garcia (Achilles) was activated from the 10-day DL on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
He is unlikely to be in the lineup against righty Bronson Arroyo, but will be available off the bench for Friday's game. Garcia is expected to occupy the short side of a third base platoon with Rio Ruiz going forward.

Garcia (Achilles) will be activated from the DL on Friday, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old won't be returning to a starting job, however, as the Braves plan to use Garcia on the short side of a platoon at third base with rookie Rio Ruiz, putting a damper on the fantasy value of each of them.

Garcia (Achilles) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinett on Friday night with an eye on returning for next weekend's series against Cincinnati, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garcia was expected to return early next week, but the Braves want him to play four or five rehab games before coming back to the majors. He has only been out since May 16, but considering how sensitive Achilles injuries can be, Atlanta probably wants to ensure it is completely healed before putting Garcia back onto the roster.

Garcia (achilles) is scheduled to play in rehab games with Triple-A Gwinnett over the weekend, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it was originally reported that Garcia may be ready to return to the Braves when first eligible Friday, that no longer appears to be the case. He'll instead head out on a minor league rehab assignment with -- barring any setbacks -- the hope of rejoining the big club Monday or Tuesday in Los Angeles for the team's series with the Angels.

Garcia (Achilles) was able to run without problems Monday and could make his return when eligible Friday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This may have been one of those injuries where the club would have waited it out if the disabled list was still at 15 days like in previous years. Atlanta begins a road trip in San Francisco on Friday, and at this point, we should expect Garcia to be back in the lineup for the first game of that series.

Garcia (Achilles) hopes to return to the Braves after the minimum 10-day stay on the disabled list, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Little was revealed about his Achilles ailment prior to him landing on the disabled list, but appears that the DL stint is simply a way to keep him off of the injury until it fully heals. As long as no extraneous circumstances occur in the coming days, Garcia seems to be in line for a return at the earliest possible date (May 26), although more details should emerge as his potential return date nears.
