Garcia (achilles) is scheduled to play in rehab games with Triple-A Gwinnett over the weekend, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

While it was originally reported that Garcia may be ready to return to the Braves when first eligible Friday, that no longer appears to be the case. He'll instead head out on a minor league rehab assignment with -- barring any setbacks -- the hope of rejoining the big club Monday or Tuesday in Los Angeles for the team's series with the Angels.
