Garcia (Achilles) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinett on Friday night with an eye on returning for next weekend's series against Cincinnati, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.

Garcia was expected to return early next week, but the Braves want him to play four or five rehab games before coming back to the majors. He has only been out since May 16, but considering how sensitive Achilles injuries can be, Atlanta probably wants to ensure it is completely healed before putting Garcia back onto the roster.
