Adam Jones went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer and a stolen base Monday as the Orioles beat the Blue Jays 4-1 in the first game of a doubleheader. Jones was pretty unexceptional for three months after his terrific April and May, but he's really gotten it going again lately. He's hit .326 with six homers, seven doubles, 13 RBI and 23 runs scored in 22 games during September.

Adam Jones hit a two-run homer in the top of the 11th to lead the Orioles to a 4-2 win over the Mariners on Wednesday. The Mariners actually got three runners on during the bottom of the 11th, but Justin Smoak erased the second on a first-pitch double-play ball and Michael Saunders was caught stealing second to end the game. Jones's homer, coming off a hanging breaking ball from Josh Kinney, was his 30th of the year. The Orioles have now won an incredible 15 extra-inning games in a row.

Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports that the Orioles will eventually discuss an extension with manager Buck Showalter, though it's "not a priority" right now. With the Orioles fighting for their playoff lives, we should hope not. A high-ranking O's official told Kubatko that Showalter has done "a fantastic job and (his contract) will be taken up in due course. We don't want him to leave. We want him to stay and he's going to stay. He's a special guy." It's hard to argue given what the O's are doing despite a lack of talent on their roster. Showalter isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Adam Jones went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Blue Jays. The multi-hit effort was Jones' third straight, while the bomb was his 27th of the season. Every homer Jones hits from here on out will represent a new career high. He's batting .287/.334/.506.

Adam Jones finished 0-for-4 in the Orioles' victory over the White Sox on Monday in Baltimore. Jones has cooled a bit since his tremendous first half, but he's still rocking a stellar .502 slugging percentage with 24 homers, 65 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 127 total games this season. The 27-year-old center fielder should remain a fantasy monster down the stretch.

Adam Jones' two-run homer provided all of the Orioles' offense in a 2-1 win over the Twins on Wednesday. Jones finished the night 2-for-4 with the dinger and a triple. His two-run blast off Francisco Liriano in the first inning proved to be the difference-maker in the game, as the Orioles escaped with a one-run victory. While his pace has slowed over the past few weeks Jones is still enjoying a tremendous offensive season, now batting .294 with 22 homers and 50 RBI.

All-Star Adam Jones hit his 20th homer Wednesday against the Mariners. Whether it's his sore wrists or just regression, Jones has pretty obviously slowed down at the plate. Today's homer was his first since June 23 and second since June 12. Still, 20 at the midway point is pretty darn good.

Adam Jones has not taken batting practice for most of the last two weeks due to lingering soreness in both wrists. He hasn't missed any games over that stretch, so it doesn't appear to be a big concern, but the Orioles want him to rest his wrists when he can. They also probably won't allow Jones to participate in the Home Run Derby over the All-Star break. "But I need to limit my swings as much as possible, especially over the break. That's important right now," said Jones. "I think they would say, 'What do you want to do? Would you want to do it?' They'll leave it in my hands. But I think the smart and responsible decision is to say no."

Adam Jones smashed a two-run walkoff home run in the 12th inning on Saturday, delivering the Orioles a 6-4 victory over the visiting Phillies. Jones finished the game 2-for-6 with a pair of RBI. The game-winning homer off Brian Rosenberg in the 12th inning was the center fielder's first long ball since a two-homer effort on May 29. Jones is having an MVP-caliber season to this point, batting .298 with 17 homers and 37 RBI, and has been a huge reason for the Orioles' sustained early-season success.

Adam Jones left Thursday's game against the Red Sox after eight innings with right wrist soreness. The Orioles were getting blown out at the time, so manager Buck Showalter simply wanted to limit his at-bats. "Adam is still a little sore. We picked a spot there to get him out of there and save an at-bat. He got jammed earlier and I know it bites him a little bit, but it goes away," said Showalter. "Everybody is banged up in some sort or fashion because you play a game every day. I get an opportunity there to keep him hopefully healthy and get Nicky an at-bat, who hasn't had many, I am going to do it." Jones recently underwent X-rays and an MRI on the wrist, which both came back negative, so it's just a matter of pain tolerance right now. He'll likely be right back in there Friday against the Phillies.
