Nola (2-1) earned the win Wednesday, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The only damage against Nola came via a pair of solo home runs in the second and third innings, as the right-hander picked up his second win and first quality start on the young season. After he was tagged for six earned runs in an Opening-Day loss, Nola's held opponents to just two runs on five hits over 11.2 innings in his subsequent two outings. He'll look for a third straight win in his next start, currently slated as a home matchup with the Rockies early next week.

Nola (1-1) picked up the win Friday, pitching 5.2 scoreless innings and allowing two hits and four walks. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Although Nola collected his first win Friday night, he still looked relatively rusty and lucked out on facing a weak Nationals lineup. His entire pitch arsenal looked diminished as he averaged only 91.1-mph on his fastball, down 1.6-mph from his average velocity in 2023. Nola is tentatively slated to start against the Cardinals on the road in his next outing.

Nola (0-1) took the loss Saturday as the Phillies fell 12-4 to Atlanta, coughing up seven runs on 12 hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Five of the hits off Nola went for extra bases, including homers by Ozzie Albies and Matt Olson. The 30-year-old right-hander threw 83 pitches (54 strikes) before exiting, and while it was far from an ideal start to the campaign, Nola has still been one of the most reliable pitchers in the game since emerging as a regular part of the Philadelphia rotation, striking out more than 200 batters in each of his last five full seasons. Nola will look to bounce back against a much less dangerous opponent next weekend on the road against the Nationals.

Nola and the Phillies agreed to a seven-year, $172 million contract Sunday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Phillies GM Dave Dombrowski indicated the organization's top priority this offseason was re-signing Nola, and the two sides didn't take long to come to terms on a long-term deal. The 30-year-old right-hander's 4.46 ERA in 2023 was a bit underwhelming, but he's been one of the more reliable pitchers in baseball over the past six years with at least 32 starts in each full season. He's also topped 200 strikeouts in each of those campaigns and appears poised to finish out his career in Philadelphia.

Nola allowed three hits over six scoreless innings to earn the win in Tuesday's 10-0 victory over the Diamondbacks in Game 2 of the NLCS. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Nola followed up a solid outing against Atlanta in the NLDS with another gem, this time taking advantage of a quiet Diamondbacks offense to cover the bulk of a shutout. Key for Nola in this contest was the success of commanding his curveball, which averaged a 32.7 called plus swinging-strike percentage during the regular season, but was up to a 39 percent mark in Tuesday's start. In the playoffs so far, the right-hander has a tidy 0.96 ERA and 0.75 WHIP with 19 strikeouts across 18.2 innings.

Nola won't pitch again during the regular season and is expected to start Game 2 of the NL Wild Card Round next Wednesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Philadelphia's playoff seed is stable for the No. 1 wild-card spot, so it's not a surprise Nola's turn through the rotation will be skipped this weekend. The right-hander ended up making his final start of the regular season Tuesday versus Pittsburgh, and he allowed just one run and struck out eight in 6.2 frames. Nola closes out the campaign with a 4.46 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 202:45 K:BB across 193.2 innings.

Nola did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and no walks over 6.2 innings against the Pirates. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Nola looked great Tuesday night against a feeble Pirates lineup, posting his third consecutive start allowing two or fewer earned runs. Over that span, the free-agent-to-be has thrown 17.1 innings to the tune of a 2.07 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 17:1 K:BB. Nola looks to finish the season strong in his last start, currently scheduled to be against the Mets in New York.

Nola did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits over six innings against Atlanta while not issuing any walks. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Nola went 1-2-3 through the first three innings before allowing three hits in the fourth, which led to one run coming across for Atlanta. He surrendered another run in the fifth on an RBI single from Nicky Lopez, marking the right-hander's second consecutive start with two earned runs allowed. It was also Nola's first time this month in which he made it through six innings (spanning four starts), and he still carries a 6.86 ERA in September.

Nola allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk over 4.2 innings in Friday's win over the Cardinals. He struck out one and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Nola would've been in line for a win but couldn't finish the fifth inning after throwing 97 pitches. He's failed to complete five innings in three straight starts, posting an 8.56 ERA during that span. His season ERA sits at 4.62 with a 186:45 K:BB through 181 innings. Nola's next matchup is currently expected to be in Atlanta.

Nola came away with a no-decision Saturday in the Phillies' 8-4 win over the Marlins, giving up four runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The Phillies staked the veteran right-hander to an early 5-0 lead, but Nola nearly gave it all back in the top of the fifth as he got tagged for five straight hits before getting the hook -- a collapse that included three doubles and a Garrett Hampson solo shot. Nola has now failed to complete five innings in back-to-back starts -- a worrying trend for the 30-year-old as Philly tries to lock down a playoff spot -- and since the All-Star break he's stumbled to a 5.18 ERA in 57.1 innings while serving up 10 homers despite an otherwise solid 1.27 WHIP and 65:14 K:BB. He'll look to rebound in his next outing, likely to come next weekend in St. Louis.
