Aaron Hicks has been placed on Triple-A Rochester's disabled list due to a sore heel.
Hicks hasn't played since last Saturday due to the ailment and it's not clear how long he'll be out. He has five hits in 22 at-bats at Rochester since being demoted earlier this month.

Aaron Hicks strained his right quad on Tuesday night while running to first base at Triple-A Rochester.
The injury is considered mild and Hicks should only need a day or two to recover. Hicks probably wasn't coming back to the Twins this month, anyway. The 23-year-old outfielder posted an ugly .192/.259/.338 batting line earlier this season in the bigs.

Twins optioned OF Aaron Hicks to Triple-A Rochester.
It's hard to argue against it, as Hicks is hitting just .152 (10-for-66) with a 19/4 K/BB ratio over his last 19 games. After gaining momentum as a fantasy sleeper this spring, the 23-year-old outfielder owns an ugly .192/.259/.338 batting line on the year. The Twins are calling up Oswaldo Arcia to replace him in the outfield.

Aaron Hicks blasted a three-run homer off CC Sabathia in the third inning of Sunday's victory over the Yankees.
He also walked in the game. Hicks was one of the major league's worst regulars earlier this season, but he's showing plenty of life in July, batting .271 with seven extra-base hits and highlight-reel defense (earlier in the series, Hicks gunned down Vernon Wells at third base in one of the best throws you'll ever see in baseball).

Aaron Hicks went 4-for-4 with a triple and two doubles from the eighth spot in the Twins lineup on Monday.
Hicks is batting .400 with a homer and a couple of steals in 25 at-bats since coming off the disabled list last week. If he keeps this up, he'll get another look in the leadoff spot after the All-Star break. It will probably take such a switch to make him playable in mixed leagues.

Twins activated OF Aaron Hicks from the 15-day disabled list.
Hicks wound up missing three weeks with a strained left hamstring. The athletic outfielder didn't hit very well on his minor league rehab assignment and returns to a paltry .179/.249/.326 batting line. There's no reason for him to be on a mixed league roster.

Aaron Hicks (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list Tuesday.
This confirms a report by Jim Mandelaro of the Democrat and Chronicle. Hicks is expected to replace Josh Willingham, who is likely headed to the disabled list with a knee injury. The 23-year-old has been sidelined since June 9 with a left hamstring strain and hit .190 (4-for-21) over six rehab games with Triple-A Rochester.

Aaron Hicks (hamstring) went 3-for-4 with an RBI double Tuesday in his first rehab game with Triple-A Rochester.
It was originally reported that Hicks would begin his rehab assignment Monday, but that wasn't the case. The 23-year-old served as the designated hitter on Tuesday, but the Twins will want to see him test his hamstring in the field before bringing him back from the disabled list.

Hicks was cleared after going through a workout Sunday without having any issues with his left hamstring. He's eligible to return on Tuesday and should be ready then or shortly after.
