We have a league rule that once a team is out of the playoffs, they can no longer add or drop players. The reason being is that a ticked off owner can easily drop his #1 QB or #1 RB, etc near the end of season, knowing that it doesn't matter since he's not in playoff contention any longer. However, the first team on the waiver wire can now add that top tier player from waivers, which at the end of the season would be completely unfair. (A few yrs ago, the worst team in the league decided to drop Adrian Peterson in week 11, since he was out of contention and didn't care any more. It caused a HUGE UPROAR).
What we need is simply giving the Commish the option to lock a team so that team can no longer process any more adds or drops. Doesn't sound too hard to do!
