I will continue to operate the site. There will be some minor changes as we integrate with AOL Sports but otherwise everything will remain the same.
Fleaflicker has come a long way in just three and a half years. During that time I was possessed by a single (and often unhealthy) obsession—making the best fantasy football site. My decision to sell was made with this goal in mind.
AOL and I share the same vision for expanding the site. Integrating with AOL sports will improve Fleaflicker immeasurably. (For example, FanHouse blogs provide the most insightful sports commentary on the Internet; their content will ultimately be integrated into Fleaflicker.)
The bottom line is this: I made this decision because I am certain it will improve the game for all Fleaflicker users.
Im with everyone else in the that we should have gotten warnings and emails and a chance to copy our rosters and what not. I am quite disgusted as well as the owners in my keeper league. Im trying to be patient with this AOL/Fleaflicker merger but would hate to start my keeper all over.
Give the Flea God a brake he's got two clowns it sounds like and he's trying, like i said it is a good site and worth waiting for!!! Sure your stuff is still there and if it's not ready by the middle of the month then go after them?
Are the all the rules and settings on our AOL Leagues going to remain the same? There were rules and settings that FF doesn't have at the moment and will make a big impact on the leagues if not.
i agree that all of this trouble could have been avoided if we had been warned that rosters would be unavailable for an extended period of time...one trip to AOL and hit "print".
the complaining would be so much more scattered...i think that is what 90% of the people here are upset with...we cant access rosters!
Good to see someone offical looking at this. I hope this site and aol last more than a couple years. I figure my big money dynasty has missed out on about 4K worth of transactions.
any word on when our rosters will be available, i have the same problem as everyone else as i've had a keeper league for 4 years and need to get the roster info from AOL in order to keep my owners happy. Help me out! pleassse
I'm not asking to be a jerk - I'm truly happy for you - I knew this day would come, FF is hot and you put together a great site, someone big was going to come along and buy you.
So as a Fan, rooting for you, I'd like to be able to go back to the guys I'm looking to start a new league with and say "Hey, Fleafounder ROCKS! AOL paid him $________ for his site! We're sticking with Flea!"
There is always more you can do to improve a FF site as Ori can attest to as I bet his "to do" list is a mile long. By partnering with AOL, he now has access to their resources and a bit of their money as well 8-)
I received this private message from Ori, so keep the faith people. Hopefully by the end of the week, we should have this finished.
"We'll be doing it for you automatically. It should be done shortly. We
initially targeted June 2 but there were delays in obtaining the data.
It hope to be done by the end of the month at the latest.

I honestly think I took Fleaflicker as far as I could alone and it was time to expand more aggressively.
