Robidas (knee) is expected to be placed on injured reserve when the NHL season begins, Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a struggle for Robidas, who missed all of the 2015-16 campaign with a knee injury. Over the past five seasons, Robidas has played in more than 50 games just once (2014-15). Barring an unexpectedly quick recovery, the 39-year-old defenseman's career appears to be coming to a close.

Leafs general manager Lou Lamoriello isn't sure if Robidas (knee) will be ready for training camp in advance of the 2016-17 season, the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
"He'll be here, but whether he can (play) or not, that's an unknown," Lamoriello said. "His career could be over, we don't know." That's been the extent of developments on 39-year-old Robidas, who ended up missing the entire 2015-16 campaign.

Robidas (knee) remains out of action and there is no timetable for his return.
EDGE Analysis
The prospect of him returning this season remains awfully bleak. Robidas last appeared in uniform on March 5, although he strangely suited up in three preseason games. He has been riddled with injuries the last two years and appears to be the odd man out among a crop of younger and more talented set of blue liners. Robidas is set to earn $6 million over this year and the next, so he might just be seen as a liability on the books. This may be a sad end to an otherwise solid career.

Robidas (knee) still hasn't resumed skating, and remains without a definitive timetable to return to practice, Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
General manager Lou Lamoriello told reporters Monday that Robidas' knee injury still hasn't improved enough to allow the veteran blueliner to return to practice. The Leafs' aren't counting on having the 38-year-old defender back any time soon, and it seems as though Robidas could realistically be in danger of missing the entirety of the 2015-16 campaign.

Head coach Lou Lamoriello indicated Friday that Robidas (groin) remains without a definite time to return to practice, Jonas Siegel of TSN 1050 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Robidas hasn't skated in approximately a month, but he's expected to return to Toronto next week to continue his rehab. It's unclear exactly when he'll be able to return to game action, but it appears it could be a ways off.

Robidas (groin) was palced on IR Wednesday, James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail reports.
EDGE Analysis
Robidas has been saddled with both groin and knee injuries, which prompted the Leafs' move to place him on IR. It's unclear as to how long Robidas will be out for and where he'll slot in upon his return. The 38-year-old had a goal and six assists in 52 games last season for the Leafs.

Robidas is suffering from multiple ailments, but none of them are so far related to his shoulder surgery in March, reports TSN.ca. "His knee has been sore all camp, it's affecting his groin now," coach Mike Babcock said.
EDGE Analysis
"He had an off day yesterday, came in today and he did what he's supposed to do to try to get ready to go and he was unable to go," continued Babcock. It's all plausible -- the knee bone is connected to the leg bone which is connected to the ... well, you know. But what is even more interesting is that it has not been characterized as a mysterious lower-body injury as was the past regime's approach. A trip to the IR is likely and it'll make the Leafs' roster legal before Tuesday's deadline. As for Robidas, there is no sense of a return.

Robidas (undisclosed) is expected to go on the IR, John Shannon of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Robidas underwent shoulder surgery in March and appeared to be fully recovered from that issue, but was absent from practice Monday and now appears headed for the injured reserve. The exact nature of the ailment is unclear at this point, as is a potential timetable, but he'll miss at least a week once the move becomes official.

Robidas did not practice Monday, Jonas Siegel of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was recently reported that Robidas was fully recovered from shoulder surgery he had last March, so it isn't clear if Monday's absence is related to the same ailment. Robidas' status for the Maple Leafs' Oct. 7 regular-season opener against Montreal is uncertain at this point in time.

Robidas is fully recovered from shoulder surgery he had last March and says he is "feeling great, physically and mentally," according to the Toronto Sun.
EDGE Analysis
He was able to put in a full offseason of training, which is something he's struggled to do the past few summers while recovering from hip, shoulder and leg injuries. "Now I feel way stronger," continued Robidas. "It's good to know that you are strong and that both legs are pushing with the same force." Robidas won't get a lot of fantasy consideration, but he will provide the offensive defenders on the Buds' blue line with a stabilizing rudder to let them test their mettle.
