Mattias Tedenby has been reassigned to AHL Albany. It's suspected that Bobby Butler will be recalled after the All-Star Game on Monday to take his place. Tedenby had no goals and one assist in four games with the Devils prior to his demotion.

Mattias Tedenby practiced with Travis Zajac and Ilya Kovalchuk on New Jersey's top line Thursday. Dainius Zubrus, who played there for the first two games, joined Patrik Elias and David Clarkson on the second unit. "We did that today," coach Pete DeBoer said. "I'm not sure what we'll go with tomorrow, yet. That's definitely not in stone, but that's what we decided to do today." DeBoer wants to spark Tedenby and get more out of his game. The former first-round pick of the Devils in 2008 has one assist and one shot in two contests this campaign.

Mattias Tedenby, who was assigned to Albany until Bobby Butler cleared waivers, has been recalled and will be in the Devils' lineup against the Islanders Saturday night. Mattias Tedenby was not on the ice with either practice group during AHL Albany's training camp skates at the Prudential Center on Monday. Steve Zalewski did not participate as well and the Devils said both players were "resting." The team's first exhibition game will occur on Tuesday afternoon against Philadelphia's minor-league affiliate, Adirondack.

Mattias Tedenby was called up from the minors on Saturday January 28.
