McLeod won't be retained by Nashville in free agency, Adam Vingan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's a good chance the aging enforcer has played his last NHL game, as McLeod's skill set simply isn't valued in today's NHL. He turns 35 later this month and was held to a single point in 38 games between the Rangers and Predators last season, adding 67 PIM.

McLeod has been a healthy scratch in 13 of 20 games -- and eight of the last nine -- since joining the Predators via trade in February.
EDGE Analysis
McLeod has just a single goal in 38 combined games with the Rangers and Preds this season, and he's averaging a paltry 6:29 in ice time -- the lowest TOI of his career. Unfortunately for McLeod, his toughness and willingness to drop the gloves are no longer in demand in the NHL, as there has been more of a shift in the past few seasons towards skill and speed -- two attributes which McLeod sorely lacks. Unless the Preds run into injury trouble, he is unlikely to see any significant ice time down the stretch and into the playoffs, and you likely will not see him back with the team next season.

The Rangers have sent McLeod back to the Predators in exchange for a 2020 seventh-round pick, Pierre LeBrun and Darren Dreger of TSN report.
EDGE Analysis
McLeod spent two seasons in Nashville (2016-18), adding seven points and 155 hits over that span. While he's strictly a fourth-line grinder in charge of knocking opponents off the puck, McLeod should benefit from the move back to a contending team, especially when it comes time to unleash him in the playoffs.

McLeod dished out two hits in Tuesday's loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
McLeod has now gone 13 straight games without a point, but he's compiled 40 hits in that span. While averaging just 7:14 in that span, he's not a worthy fantasy option, although his physical presence keeps makes him a lineup fixture.

McLeod (hand) was activated from injured reserve and is expected to play Saturday versus the Predators, per the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
McLeod has missed the last 14 games, and he'll return to the Rangers' bottom six. The 34-year-old works mainly as a physical threat with just one goal in 16 games, but he has added 54 hits and 42 PIM in that span.

McLeod (hand) is day-to-day with his injury, Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
This effectively rules out McLeod for Thursday's game against the Blue Jackets, but the team reportedly is holding out hope that he'll be able to give it a go against host Nashville on Saturday. He's the resident tough guy in a league that has a limited number of enforcers these days.

McLeod (hand) is expected to miss at least 2-3 more weeks before returning to the lineup, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
McLeod has already been out of action since Nov. 21 (a stretch of eight games) and now appears set to miss the remainder of 2018. Even once cleared to return to action, the winger could be hard pressed to crack the lineup given the team's forward depth and the emergence of Filip Chytil and Brett Howden.

McLeod (hand) was designated for injured reserve Wednesday, per the NHL media site.
EDGE Analysis
Considering McLeod is dealing with a fractured hand and isn't expected to be back until mid-December, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see him on IR. The winger notched his first point of the season in his last game, but otherwise has been a non-factor offensively this season.

McLeod could be sidelined 4-6 weeks due to a fractured hand suffered Wednesday against the Islanders, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McLeod fractured his hand during a fight with Islanders defenseman, Ross Johnston. While disappointing for both player and team, the injury does little to alter the fantasy side of things. For his career, the bruising forward averages 0.17 points per game, and as a result of this, McLeod can be safely ignored even when he's back healthy.

McLeod fractured his hand in Wednesday's win over the Islanders, the New York Rangers' official twitter reports.
EDGE Analysis
McLeod will likely miss at least a few weeks with the injury. He brought toughness to the lineup, but not much in terms of scoring contributions, though he did score his first goal in a Rangers uniform prior to exiting Wednesday.
