Bryce Salvador (concussion) will not participate in any preseason games. Salvador is good to go however coach Peter DeBoer is keeping him out of the lineup. If it was the regular season he would be playing however they will hold him out as a precaution.

Bryce Salvador has looked good in training camp, despite the fact that he missed the entire 2010-11 season. That being said, Salvador hasn't made his preseason debut yet. That will come on Friday when the Devils take on the New York Rangers. Salvador doesn't have much, if any fantasy value, but the Devils will certainly be happy to have him back.

Bryce Salvador, who recently recovered from an inner-ear concussion, isn't worried about concussions becoming a recurring problem for him. "An inner ear concussion is a little different I think for the fact I was hit by a puck," Salvador said. "It wasn't from some devastating blow. From a physical standpoint I'm not too concerned about it." That attitude should make the adjustment back to playing hockey much easier. It also helps that he has the entire preseason to shake off the rust of missing the 20010-11 campaign.

Bryce Salvador (concussion) passed every test he took during his physical evaluation on Friday. Salvador can participate in the Devils' practices during training camp. That doesn't come as a surprise to Salvador, who has already been working out without experiencing symptoms. Zach Parise, who exercised with Salvador over the summer, also praised the blueliners' physical condition going into this season.

New Jersey GM Lou Lamoriello likes the way his defense is shaping up going into training camp. "One thing we really sort of looked at last year was the defense," Lamoriello said. "I think the young defensemen and also the veterans-certainly Bryce Salvador, the potential of him being healthy, what he's gone through this summer to get ready and how he looks right now because of what he brings (will help). And certainly Volchenkov and Tallinder being here a year now (will help). Anton stayed here all summer. Tallinder's play in the second half and Andy Greene, you stabilize with four veterans.(Matt) Taormina is healthy. We'll see what he does. The improvement of (Mark) Fayne. (Anton) Stralman making the decision of coming here (as a tryout). He's a legitimate NHL player. We'll see. (Alex) Urbom's improvement. Adam Larsson. (Matt) Corrente. It's going to be very interesting. That's what I'm interested in seeing just how things (fall into place). I feel very good about that area." That's a heap of players vying for six spots to start the year, so camp should inde

Bryce Salvador (concussion) expects to be on the ice when the New Jersey Devils begin training camp. "I'm back in full training, full everything, so I'm excited for the season," he said Tuesday. He didn't play a single game last season due to a cochlear concussion, but has been symptom-free for awhile now. Salvador expects to get medical clearance from the teams' doctors "within the next couple of weeks." This is certainly good news for him, but it won't help your fantasy roster.

Bryce Salvador (concussion) is symptom free, according to Devils GM Lou Lamoriello. Lamoriello did add that Salvador participating in contact drills during training camp will be a big test. Salvador missed the entire 2010-11 season due to a concussion. We'll keep you posted.

Bryce Salvador (concussion) believes he will be ready for the start of training camp. "Everything is right on course, so I'm really optimistic," he said. "I've got a couple of months [to go], so I'm encouraged." The Devils defenseman said he is symptom-free and has been skating "off and on" since May. Salvador didn't play any games in 2010-11 due to a concussion, so it's encouraging that he is progressing. However, he isn't worth owning in fantasy hockey.
