Bryce Salvador (groin) hasn't started to skate yet. With that in mind, Salvador probably won't be back before the end of the regular season. He has a goal and three assists in 40 games in 2013-14.

New Jersey defenseman Bryce Salvador was examined by a doctor Friday after missing Thursday's game with a groin injury and will sit out again tonight. The Devils, struggling for their playoff lives, visit the New York Islanders tonight.

"I wasn't expecting that much the first game, but I just got right back at it," said Salvador. "I couldn't wait to get back into this game. It was good that we got the win." He blocked two shots and was credited with five hits in the 2-1 victory.
