Crombeen scored his third goal of the year Tuesday in a 3-2 loss to the Flames. He took three shots and added a hit in the contest. The Coyotes' fourth line scored both of their goals last night and for Crombeen he tied his total from last year. He has been in the lineup consistently for Arizona since the trade deadline, but he hasn't made many appearances on the scoresheet. Despite seeing his ice time drop more than two minutes per game compared to last year, Crombeen has still accumulated 75 PIM and 65 hits, which can help in some fantasy leagues where his offensive deficiencies don't matter as much.

"So obviously it's up to me to go out and do my part and play my game and try to help the team. But it's obviously a nice thing to make you a little more comfortable coming into a new situation." He had 10 points and 79 penalty minutes in 55 games with Tampa Bay last season. He can also kill penalties and could serve as a solid energy player for the Coyotes.

The Tampa Bay Lightning dealt B.J. Crombeen to the Phoenix Coyotes on Sunday. Crombeen was sent to Phoenix along with Sam Gagner, whom the Lightning had obtained earlier in the day in a trade with Edmonton for Teddy Purcell, for a sixth-round pick in the 2015 NHL draft. Crombeen, 28, had three goals and seven assists in 55 games last season. He had 79 penalty minutes and has 771 in 387 NHL games. He will make $1.15 million this season before becoming an unrestricted free agent.
