Chargers released WR Richard Goodman. Goodman was a special teamer and kick returner in San Diego. Fozzy Whittaker can fill that role, allowing the Chargers to add help at linebacker. In three seasons with San Diego, Goodman caught one pass and averaged 27.6 yards per kick return.

Chargers re-signed KR/WR Richard Goodman to a one-year, $630,000 contract. Not an offensive threat, 26-year-old Goodman is a core special teamer in San Diego. He runs downfield on punt and kickoff coverage, and Goodman's 27.6 kick return average over the past two seasons is the league's fourth-best mark.
