Orton completed 24-of-32 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's 38-3 win over the Jets. Orton has torched the weak Jets secondary for six touchdowns in two games, but he only has six touchdowns in his other five appearances combined. Still, Monday's game was clearly a positive development for the veteran, as his job security was in question following back-to-back shaky outings. Orton gets a tougher matchup in Week 13, with the Cleveland defense having surrendered a 16:15 TD:INT ratio this season.

Orton (toe) is listed as active for Monday's game against the Jets. Orton is available Monday, as expected, and he'll take aim at a beatable Jets' defense that has allowed a league-leading 25 passing touchdowns to date.

Orton (toe) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Jets. Although Orton remained limited in Saturday's practice, it doesn't seem his Week 12 availability is any serious jeopardy in light of the probable designation. With the major snowstorm in Buffalo, the NFL has moved the Jets-Bills game to Monday in Detroit. The indoor setting, combined with a plus matchup -- the Jets have allowed a league-leading 25 passing touchdowns -- could help Orton rebound after he averaged just 5.1 yards per attempt in his previous two outings.

Orton (toe) and his teammates are slated to practice Friday evening at the Lions' facility in Detroit, where the Bills will play the Jets on Monday, ESPN.com reports. With Week 12's contest rescheduled/relocated due to the impact of a major snowstorm in Buffalo, the report relays that all 53 Bills players were able to make the trip to Detroit on Friday. With the Bills not practicing Wednesday and Thursday, Orton was projected as a limited participant both days, but we suspect that he will be fine for Monday's night's game, a notion that would be solidified by an official probable designation upon the release of the team's final Week 12 injury report.

With the Bills not practicing Thursday due to the impact of a major snowstorm in Buffalo, Orton (toe) was projected as a limited participant, the team's official site reports. Orton's status for this week's game doesn't seem to be in question, but when and where the Bills/Jets contest will take place is up in the air, following news that the game will not take place in Buffalo.

While the Bills were unable to practice Wednesday due to a nasty snowstorm in Buffalo, Orton (toe) is listed as a would-be limited participant. We're not worried about Orton's status for this week's game against the Jets. However, he's coming off two poor outings and will be playing in wintry conditions, so proceed with caution if you're faced with a decision to use Orton this week.

Although Orton has struggled in his last two outings - both Bills losses - the team is sticking with him for now. Said coach Doug Marrone on Monday, "Right now I'm sticking with Kyle (Orton), we'll go with who gives us the best chance to win." After throwing nine touchdowns in his first four starts, Orton has fallen way off with just one touchdown over the last two outings and YPAs just of 5.40 and 4.95.The Bills are still in the playoff hunt at 5-5 - even though it's a long shot - but they absolutely can't afford a loss to the Jets this week, so they'll stick with Orton for at least one more contest. We might see EJ Manuel again this season, however, when and if the Bills are officially out of the chase.

Orton, who completed 22-of-39 passes for only 193 yards, suffered a toe injury during Thursday's 22-9 loss to the Dolphins, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports. The Buffalo offense had just two real possessions before halftime, largely because those two drives took a combined 15 minutes, 51 seconds. Orton was okay in the first half, when the Bills used a slew of short passes and their running game to keep the Miami pass rush at bay. Everything fell apart after Buffalo's second drive of the third quarter, as both Orton and the offensive line struggled terribly for the rest of the game. It's unclear how much blame Orton deserves for the safety he took on a questionable intentional ground call, but he was without doubt inaccurate on the few downfield throws he tried. He also missed some easier passes, and the Bills were complete unable to run in the second half. Orton's second straight poor performance will lead to questions about his job security, though it's only fair to point out that he was facing excellent defenses behind a poor offensive line both times. When asked after the game if he's thought about replacing Orton with C.J. Manuel, Bills head coach Doug Marrone said, "Right now that hasn't crossed my mind."

Orton completed 29 of 48 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Chiefs. After throwing four touchdowns against the Jets in Week 8, Orton came back down to Earth against the league's top-ranked pass defense. He wasn't that bad overall, connecting with seven different receivers, but he wasn't great either in the 17-13 loss. Making matters worse, it doesn't get much easier in Week 11, as the Bills will face off against a Dolphins' defense ranked second in the league against the pass.

Orton completed 10 of 17 passes for 238 yards and four touchdowns Sunday against the Jets. The Bills' defense forced six turnovers on the day, giving Orton a short field a number of times to lead the offense to touchdowns. He threw a 22-yard touchdown to Robert Woods and a one-yard score to Lee Smith in the first quarter, then a 12-yard touchdown pass to Scott Chandler and a 61-yard score to Sammy Watkins in the fourth, the last of which put the Bills up 43-17. It was a pretty remarkable output on only 17 pass attempts, as no receiver caught more than three passes. Orton's fine play will most likely take a significant decline his next time out, as the Bills head out on bye in Week 9 before facing the top-ranked Chiefs' pass defense in Week 10.
