Taylor was waived by the Giants on Tuesday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants signed veterans Akeem Ayers and John Greco on Tuesday, leaving Taylor as the odd-man-out in New York. The 27-year-old signed with the Giants a little over two weeks ago, playing in one contest against the Rams, in which he recorded one tackle.

Taylor signed with the Giants on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor spent the entire preseason and training camp with the Giants after signing with the team in May, but he was ultimate released just before the start of the regular season. The move coincides with New York placing Nordly Capi (hamstring) on injured reserve. Taylor will add depth to a fairly banged up Giants front seven.

Taylor (lower leg) played in Monday's game against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor only played in nine snaps Monday night, and it's unclear whether that's a product of a cautious post-injury approach, or if it's due to his long-shot chances of making the roster. Nevertheless, he's healthy enough to play so expect to see him in upcoming preseason games.

Taylor missed a second consecutive practice Wednesday due to soreness in his lower leg, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reports.
EDGE Analysis
This doesn't sound like a serious issue in the slightest, so Taylor should be back in the fold sooner rather than later.

Taylor (undisclosed) was sore Tuesday and sat out of practice, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor will have to continue battling for playing time, but he played well enough last season to win some snaps by default. The University of South Carolina product logged 28 tackles and 4.5 sacks in 2016. This injury seems pretty minor, so don't expect Taylor to stay sidelined too long.

Taylor signed a one-year contract with the Giants on Wednesday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
After four years with the Lions, Taylor will head to New York in 2017. He started all 16 games for Detroit last season, tallying 28 tackles, 4.5 sacks, one safety, one pass defended, and one forced fumble in the process. He will look to compete for a role at the end of the defensive line for the Giants.

Taylor (ankle) is active for Sunday's divisional matchup with the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor was listed as questionable in Friday's injury report but will give it a go on Sunday as he hopes to avoid aggravating an ankle injury. The defensive end played through the injury last week, notching one tackle while taking the field for 45 snaps. Look for a similar snap count this week with Brandon Copeland prepared to fill in at any moment.

Taylor (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 3 matchup with the Packers, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor only practiced once during the week, but the Lions may require him to play a full snap count Sunday with Ezekiel Ansah (ankle) expected to miss at least a few games. Through his first two games, Taylor has been able to make an impact at the defensive end spot opposite Ansah, logging eight tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Taylor (ankle) returned to practice on Friday after missing Thursday's practice with an ankle injury, MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appears Taylor avoided structural damage in his ankle and, consequently, he shouldn't miss any time moving forward. The South Carolina product has racked up 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks thus far into the season, but is not expected to have stud DE Ezekiel Ansah bookending the opposite side of the defensive line in the Lions' Week 3 matchup against the Packers, potentially allowing Green Bay blockers to devote more attention his way than Detroit's previous two opponents were able to.

Taylor sacked Marcus Mariota 1.5 times while notching seven tackles Sunday against the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor now has 13 tackles along with 1.5 sacks in his two games to start the season. Although he's accomplished little in his first two years in the league, he could thrive across from Ziggy Ansah (ankle), even though Ansah could miss some time with an ankle injury.
