Brown was waived by the Seahawks on Saturday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
EDGE Analysis
This move seems to signal that Marshawn Lynch could be active for Sunday's game against the 49ers, as the Seahawks surely wouldn't compromise their depth at the running back position had they assumed Lynch would be unavailable. Brown will now have the opportunity to catch on with another team, but he's unlikely to stumble into fantasy relevance this season unless he joins a team in serious need of a running back.

Brown agreed to a contract with the Seahawks on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Brown has been out of work since being released by the Bills in September, but the Seahawks decided to add him to the roster to improve their running back depth. Brown slots in fourth on the depth chart, so even if the injured Thomas Rawls (calf) is unable to play Sunday, Brown would still be looking at a minimal role behind Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson.

Brown was released by the Bills on Tuesday, Mike Rodak of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown was inactive for Sunday's opener against the Colts, as the Bills have a healthy stable of running backs in LeSean McCoy, Anthony Dixon and Karlos Williams. Brown has an impressive size-speed combination, and he put together a couple of big games behind a great offensive line a few years ago, but he's still just a borderline NFL talent. His vision, pass-blocking, elusiveness and ball security are all problematic.

Brown (hamstring) is listed as the Bills' fourth running back on the latest depth chart, Mike Rodak of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brown has been nagged by a hamstring of late, but he played in Thursday's final preseason game, logging nine carries for 37 yards. The Bills are listing him behind LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams and Anthony Dixon, however, and at this point he does not have a clear path to consistent snaps. That said, the depth behind McCoy is fairly thin, so it wouldn't be a surprise if Brown works his way into the backfield rotation as the season progresses.

Brown (hamstring) played into the second half of Thursday's preseason game against the Lions, finishing with 37 yards on nine carries.
EDGE Analysis
Brown also caught two of his three targets, albeit for a loss of one yard. The Bills' recent decision to release Fred Jackson should assure him of a roster spot, but Brown's usage in Thursday's game suggests that he's not really in the mix for the No. 2 running back role, unless he's the only healthy option for Week 1. Karlos Williams (undisclosed) and/or Anthony Dixon (calf) will likely serve as LeSean McCoy's top backup(s).

The Bills cut Brown's teammate Fred Jackson on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
This makes it almost a sure thing that Brown - previously thought to be in Rex Ryan's doghouse due to fumbling issues - will make the team. Unless the Bills bring in someone new, he'll compete for the No. 2 running back role behind LeSean McCoy.

Brown (hamstring) is inactive for Saturday's preseason game.
EDGE Analysis
Brown has progressed to participating in individual drills after injuring his hamstring in mid-August, but the Bills will take the cautious route and hold him out of their third preseason game Saturday. The Bills are also resting LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams, and Anthony Dixon among the running backs, leaving Fred Jackson and Cierre Wood to get a good chunk of the carries.

Brown (hamstring) took part in individual drills during Thursday's practice, wgr550.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The same applies to Anthony Dixon, with both backs looking to re-establish their slotting behind the Bills' top back LeSean McCoy (hamstring), who worked on the side during Thursday's session.

Brown, who did not participate in previous offseason workouts, has been present for this week's OTA's, The Buffalo News reports. The coaching staff didn't seem too pleased with Brown a couple of weeks ago while coach Rex Ryan has also made comments about his past fumbling issues. At least he'll have a chance now to stake his claim for a spot in the pecking order behind LeSean McCoy, the clear-cut starter. Brown will spend the summer competing with veterans Fred Jackson and Anthony Dixon, as well as rookie Karlos Williams.
