Lee was waived by the Sixers on Thursday, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Lee was called up from the D-League less than a week ago, but with Jorge Gutierrez coming over from the Nets in a trade Thursday, the team will part ways with the UCLA product. Lee appeared in just one game this season, logging two garbage time minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday night.

Lee was called up by Philadelphia on Friday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Lee could have a hard time finding minutes on the court, although the 76ers have been known to deploy players that would normally be held off the court under other circumstances. Either way, Lee will be available for the 76ers moving forward.

Lee left Saturday's preseason game against Orlando with a sprained left ankle, the Sixers' official site reports. He will not return. Lee had six points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 10 minutes before the injury. If he makes the final roster, he is expected to play only a minimal role for Philadelphia this season.

Lee has reached agreement on a contract with the 76ers, Yahoo! Sports reports. Lee, a second round pick in 2011, has seen his NBA career derailed by numerous surgeries over recent years. He last played for the Timberwolves during the 2012-13 campaign, when he featured in 16 games (12 starts) and averaged 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18.1 minutes. The 24-year-old combo guard will aim to carve out a spot on Philadelphia's cluttered roster during training camp.
