Now in Week 18 of the 2014-15 NBA season, the waiver wire is a crucial part of the weekly/daily routine of fantasy basketball managers. The following group of players are not of the typical standard-league variety, but rather options for those participating in deeper formats. Unless you have the roster space to stash one of these fringe contributors as a sleeper, there is little reason to own any of them outside of leagues with 12 or more teams. As the NBA season storms into the second half, we continue our reviews of the Association, division by division. We have wrapped up the Eastern Conference, and now begin the Western Conference with the Northwest Division. Oklahoma City is on a collision course to meet the Miami Heat in the NBA finals. Anything short of that would be a major disappointment for the Thunder and their fans. Host your fantasy baseball league and play Free Fantasy Baseball at Fleaflicker with full commish options and live scoring/stats. Northwest Division Oklahoma City Thunder (32-9) The Kevin Durant/Russell Westbrook show has a new member.... James Harden. Harden continues to deliver off the bench, giving the Thunder the all important third option. Oklahoma City continues to benefit from the acquisition of Kendrick Perkins a year ago at the trading deadline. Although Perkins doesn't deliver fantasy numbers, his interior toughness was just what the Thunder needed. Perkins presence has allowed Serge Ibaka more freedom and he has developed into an absolute shot blocking machine. Denver Nuggets (23-19) After a torrid start, the Nuggets were beset by injuries. Danilo Gallinari, Ty Lawson and Nene have all missed considerable time. Denver has performed well, given the losses of J.R.Smith, Kenyon Martin and Wilson Chandler overseas during the work stoppage. Al Harrington has been one of the best big men off the bench in the Association and shooting guard Arron Aflllalo has taken another step. Dallas' gift of Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer has strengthened what would have been week reserves on the wing. Minnesota Timberwolves (22-21) Is Kevin Love the best fantasy player...

Midseason Grades-Atlantic fantasyalarm.com Wed 3/7/12 11:04 AM

It seems like the season just got started, but we are already well into the second half. Yes, the playoffs are next month, a great opportunity to review each member of the Association. We begin with the Eastern Conference, specifically the Atlantic Division. Host your fantasy baseball league and play Free Fantasy Baseball at Fleaflicker with full commish options and live scoring/stats. Philadelphia- (22-17) Arguably the biggest surprise in the Associiation, Doug Collins has found the fountain of youth on the Sixers bench. Having witnessed the train wreck with MJ in Washington, I thought Collins was done. Not so. Philly is getting it done with teamwork, overcoming the lack of any post play. Spencer Hawes' game took a big step, but he and Elton Brand are injury prone. Andre Iguodola deserves some consideration for MVP, as they would be fighting for a higher lottery pick without him. The Sixers still have some upside, watch out when Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner take it to the next level. Boston- (20-17) Will Doc Rivers get one last shot in the post season? Danny Ainge may opt to break up the big three while he can still get value. Rajon Rondo will remain among the elite, but the Celts may take a long look at offers for Kevin Garnett and/or Paul PIerce at the deadline. Boston hasn't recovered from the Kendrick Perkins trade at the deadline a year ago. He was the heart and soul of the team, especially on defense. The season ending injury tto Jeff Green early on probably ended any real hope for a final run. If Boston dumps at the deadline, Avery Bradley, JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore will be the focus of what promises to be a long rebuild. New York- (18-20) The Knicks stumbled...

Oklahoma City Thunder- At 12-2 the Thunder are doing nothing to disappoint their consensus choice as Western Conference favorites. Back to back losses at the first of the New Year have spoiled an otherwise perfect season thus far. The big two of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook continue to carry Oklahoma City, averaging more than 45 points per game. Shooting guard James Harden, easily the leader for Sixth Man of the Year, has stepped up his game, averaging nearly 17 ppg while adding nearly four rebounds and four assists. The Thunder actually took their big step at the trading deadline last season when they acquired Kendrick Perkins from Boston. Serge Ibaka is the finesse, shot blocker on the blocks, while Perkins does the dirty work. Thabo Sefolosha continues to get the start at shooting guard, but...

Its is FREE!! - Details Here Boston Celtics- Do the Celtics have enough left in the tank to give it one more run? The untimely loss of Jeff Green doesn't help as Boston gave up the heart of their defense in Kendrick Perkins at the trade deadline last season to get him. The Celtics attempted to get in the Chris Paul sweepstakes, danging Rajon Rondo, but came up empty. Doc Rivers will try to coax another season from Ray Allen and Paul Pierce on the wing. In the paint, Kevin Garnett and Jermaine O'Neal are long in the tooth, but heavy on experience. More is needed from Avery Bradley in the backcourt while newly acquired Brandon Bass and Chris Wilcox provide depth underneath. Projection: 2nd Place. New Jersey Nets- With a new arena in Brooklyn on the horizon, the Nets need to make a splash and continue to persue Dwight Howard. New Jersey needs to hang on to point guard Deron Williams, but he'll depart if he doesn't get help. For now, New Jersey has one of the top young centers in the Association in Brook Lopez. Lopez needs help on the blocks and demanded the club re-sign Kris Humphries. Andrei Kirilenko may be added to improve a below average small forward situation with Damion James...
