Pedro Florimon was one of the Twins' lone bright spots offensively in Wednesday's loss to the Royals, going 2-for-3 with a pair of stolen bases. He's still hitting a paltry .228 on the season, but now has eight homers and 12 stolen bases in just 324 at-bats. In deeper mixed leagues, there could be future potential here for a sneaky power/speed combination if you can handle the poor average.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Thursday that the slumping Pedro Florimon will remain the team's starter at shortstop. Florimon has just two hits in 27 at-bats this month, dropping his season line to an ugly .216/.275/.328. Of course, the Twins knew coming into the season that he would be an all-glove, no-hit shortstop, and since his defense has been good, he'll continue to play. "He's going to have to hit his way through these things," Gardenhire said.

Pedro Florimon (wrist) is out of the Twins' lineup for the third straight day Monday. Florimon is feeling better and expects to field grounders Monday and take batting practice on Tuesday. The injury isn't expected to require a trip to the disabled list.

Pedro Florimon Jr. is not in the Twins' lineup Sunday for the second straight day due to a sore wrist. Florimon is able to swing from the right side with no pain, but the left side gives him trouble. He'll be examined during Sunday's game before the team determines when he'll be ready to return. Doug Bernier is at shortstop again Sunday.

Pedro Florimon had a rough night at the dish in Friday's loss to the Tigers, going 0-for-3 with a strikeout. Florimon has been especially brutal in the month of June, where he's 4-for-39 (.103) with one RBI and 10 strikeouts. He continues to play on a nightly basis because the Twins lack better options, but his paltry .228/.299/.335 line should be avoided in all fantasy formats.

Pedro Florimon Jr. (finger) will not be in the lineup Friday. The good news is that Florimon isn't expected to miss much time after leaving Thursday's game with a right index finger sprain. Eduardo Escobar is likely to be at shortstop for the Twins Friday.

Pedro Florimon Jr. left Thursday's game against the Tigers with a right index finger sprain. It's not clear how long the malady might sideline the infielder. Eduardo Escobar took Florimon's spot at shortstop Thursday.
