Florimon suffered a dislocated ankle in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Marlins, Walter Villa of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Florimon is done for the season. He hit .348 with an .866 OPS in 46 at-bats for the Phillies this season. The 30-year-old made an impression on manager Pete Mackanin, who has lobbied to have Florimon back in a utility role next season.

Florimon was carted off the field Saturday with an apparent ankle injury, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
He stepped on the first-bag bag and his ankle bent awkwardly. Hyun Soo Kim entered the game in right field following the incident as Nick Williams shifted over to center. The team has yet to provide an update on Florimon's status, but it looked like a serious, potentially season-ending injury.

Florimon will start in center field and bat seventh Sunday against the Cubs, Stephen Gross of The Allentown Morning Call reports.
EDGE Analysis
Florimon will be making his third consecutive start in center field, an indication manager Pete Mackanin views him as the primary option at the position until the Phillies get back one of Odubel Herrera (hamstring) or Aaron Altherr (hamstring) from the disabled list. Both outfielders seem to be making positive progress and could be activated as soon as the upcoming week, so Florimon's run of regular at-bats could come to a swift end. Florimon has gone 7-for-22 with four RBI since joining the Phillies earlier this month.

Florimon is starting in center field and hitting seventh Friday against the Cubs, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since Florimon's contract was selected from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Aug. 17, he's been used as a true utility man for the Phillies. In the time since, he's spent time at second and third base, as well as each spot in the outfield. The righty has been effective at the plate too, and has gone 6-for-15 with four RBI. However, expectations for Florimon should be kept in check, as he owns a career line of .204/.266/.302.

Florimon had his contract selected from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Florimon will take the roster spot of Nick Pivetta, who was sent to the minors following his start Wednesday. The 30-year-old hasn't seen any major-league action this season, but he owns a .265/.347/.410 slash line through 90 games with the IronPigs. Florimon has hit just .200/.261/.297 across parts of six big-league seasons, so he'll likely primarily play off the bench during what should be a brief stint with the Phillies.

Florimon was informed that he did not earn a roster spot with the Phillies, Matt Gelb of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Florimon will remain in camp until Friday to give the Phillies some infield depth as they close out their Grapefruit League schedule. He will likely work in a utility role at Triple-A Lehigh Valley when the regular season begins.

Florimon signed a minor league deal with the Phillies on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Florimon had spent each of the last two seasons in the Pirates organization before being outrighted last month. The 29-year-old, who appeared in only 18 major league games last season, will now look to make the Phillies' roster out of camp, but he figures to have a better chance of landing back in the minors, likely at the Triple-A level. In 107 games at Triple-A last season, Florimon slashed .255/.327/.372 with five home runs, 36 RBI and 14 steals.

Florimon was outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Pirates cleared room on their 40-man roster Wednesday, outrighting Florimon, Jacob Stallings, and Zach Phillips to Triple-A. Florimon was a late season call-up by the Pirates to add middle infield depth and went 5-for-24 with 12 strikeouts at the dish during his 18-game stint. Provided that the Pirates' regular middle infielders return to full health by Spring Training, Florimon will be a long shot to make the major league roster.

Florimon was called up by the Pirates on Tuesday, Travis Sawchik of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
Florimon accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Indianapolis after being designated for assignment in August, and the decision has paid off as he will return to the majors as part of the Pirates' second wave of September callups. He will bolster the team's depth in the middle infield.

Florimon cleared waivers Wednesday and has 72 hours to accept or refuse his outright assignment to Triple-A Indianapolis, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Florimon was placed on waivers on Apr. 3, but he went unclaimed and now has the choice of whether he wants to spend time in the Pirates minor league system or try to land a job elsewhere. Either way, he'll likely act as organizational depth with whatever team he ends up with unless the organization that wants him is in dire need of infield depth at the major league level.
