Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopopulos said Tuesday that Luis Perez (elbow) is "pretty far away" from resuming a minor league rehab assignment. Perez was shut down after he felt pain in his surgically-repaired elbow during his first rehab appearance on June 10. The setback wasn't considered serious and he has resumed throwing, but there's no timetable for his return to game action.
