Andy Martino of the New York Daily News reports that the Yankees "continue to monitor" Joel Hanrahan. The Yanks just signed one rehabbing former closer in Andrew Bailey, but Hanrahan would be an option for them much earlier in the season. Making his way back from Tommy John surgery, the 32-year-old will audition for teams next month and is expected to be game-ready by May. Martino also notes that the Yanks sent a scout to a recent showcase for Ryan Madson but found the reliever's asking price to be "excessive."
