Giants designated RHP Jake Dunning for assignment. Dunning made one scoreless appearance for the Giants in May but has struggled to the tune of a 5.88 ERA in 21 appearances this season at Triple-A Fresno. The 25-year-old right-hander could draw interest on waivers.

Giants recalled RHP Jake Dunning from Triple-A Fresno. With Matt Cain on the disabled list and Yusmeiro Petit expected to assume his spot in the starting rotation, Dunning will provide much needed depth in the Giants bullpen. The 25-year-old posted a 2.84 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 16/11 K/BB ratio over 25 1/3 innings with the team in 2013.

Giants recalled RHP Jake Dunning from Triple-A Fresno. Dunning, 25, posted a solid 1.49 ERA over 34 appearances with the Giants' Triple-A affiliate. He should continue to pitch in middle relief and will be auditioning for a 25-man roster spot next season.
