Teaford cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Teaford was DFA'd on Tuesday after appearing in both games of a doubleheader. He'll provide organizational depth for both the rotation and bullpen, but without even a hint of upside.

Teaford was designated for assignment Tuesday, the Tampa Tribune's Roger Mooney reports. He pitched in both games of Tuesday's doubleheader, so the Rays obviously wanted to get as many pitches out of Teaford as they could before potentially losing him. The 31-year-old lefty has a career 4.16 ERA and is unlikely to be used in high leverage situations, no matter which team he pitches for next.

The Rays called up Teaford from Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Teaford worked as a starter with Durham, but he will serve as a multi-inning reliever in his second go-around with the big club this season. He will replace C.J. Riefenhauser in the Rays' bullpen.

Teaford has cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Teaford was DFA'd on Tuesday, and he apparently didn't draw outside interest. The 30-year-old hasn't shown any ability to miss bats at the big-league level, but he does have experience working as both a starter and reliever.

Teaford was designated for assignment Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. The Rays acquired Xavier Cedeno from the Dodgers on Monday, and they'll DFA Teaford in order to clear a spot on the 40-man for Cedeno. Teaford, who was called up from Triple-A Durham over the weekend, made one appearance, allowing one earned run on four hits in 2.1 innings.

Teaford was called up from Triple-A Durham on Saturday. Allan Dykstra was designated for assignment to create room for Teaford on the 40-man roster. Teaford allowed seven earned runs on 18 hits, with 12 strikeouts and four walks, in three starts (15 innings) with Durham to begin the year. He is not currently scheduled for a start with the big club, so it seems likely the lefty will be available in long relief.

Teaford has been reassigned to minor league camp, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Teaford had been in consideration to temporarily take a spot in the rotation due to the injuries to Alex Cobb and Drew Smyly. Over five appearances this spring, Teaford posted a 2.79 ERA in 9.2 innings of work.

Teaford is being considered for a temporary spot in the Rays' rotation, the Tampa Tribune reports. He may be the greatest long shot for the opportunity, as the alternatives all possess 40-man roster spots, while Teaford is in camp with the Rays on a minor league deal. Most likely, Burch Smith, Matt Andriese, and Enny Romero will cover two of the vacant spots created by the ailments to Drew Smyly, Alex Cobb, and Alex Colome to open the year.
