Ramos is behind Jeurys Familia in the closer pecking order, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos, who was the primary closer for the Marlins for two and a half seasons, was briefly the Mets' closer while Familia was on the disabled list last season. Earlier reports this offseason suggested that the Mets would use a closer-by-committe approach, but pitching coach Dave Eiland now says that Familia will get "most" of the save chances. That certainly doesn't rule Ramos out from getting any saves, and a run of poor outings from Familia could easily see them flipping roles, but for now, don't expect Ramos to get anywhere near half of the Mets' save opportunities.

Ramos agreed to a one-year, $9.225 million contract with the Mets on Friday, avoiding arbitration, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos has gone from $3.4 million to $6.55 million to $9.225 million in his three years of arbitration eligibility. He struggled after being traded to the Mets last summer, especially with walks (5.7 BB/9). The Mets have talked about using a closer committee to open 2018, but Ramos is clearly behind Jeurys Familia in the pecking order, and it's easy to see him falling behind Anthony Swarzak as well.

Ramos (biceps) will be available to pitch out of the bullpen for Friday's game against the Phillies, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos hasn't pitched since last Friday while he's recovered from biceps tendinitis, but is ready and available ahead of New York's final series of the 2017 season. Over the course of the year, Ramos has accumulated 27 saves while posting a 4.06 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 57.2 innings.

Ramos is dealing with biceps tendinitis, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not clear how long Ramos has been feeling the soreness, but it could have been a factor in him allowing five earned runs and 13 runners to reach base via hit or walk over his last four outings. Ramos is considered day-to-day, and the Mets will determine his next step after he plays catch Tuesday.

Ramos blew a save in Miami on Tuesday, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk over two-thirds of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
This marks just his third unconverted opportunity in 30 tries, as Ramos has largely been very effective in dicey moments. However, he ran into trouble against his old teammates in this one right away with Justin Bour touching off the scoring with a homer, after which Ramos got singled to death. The righty -- who'll celebrate his 31st birthday Wednesday -- remains firmly atop the pecking order in the Mets' bullpen.

Ramos retired the only two batters he faced to earn his 27th save Friday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds entered the ninth inning with a five-run lead, but after the bullpen allowed a run and leaving runners on base, Ramos entered the game in a save situation. Although he has a pedestrian 3.46 ERA, he's been a strong fantasy option based on his ability to close out games.

Ramos struck out both batters he faced to finish off the Reds for his 26th save Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Starter Rafael Montero carried a strong outing into the ninth inning, only to tire and depart with the bases loaded and one out. On came Ramos, who snappily struck out a pair of powerful hitters in Adam Duvall and Scooter Gennett to finish off the 2-0 win. Jeurys Familia's return from injury isn't looking like it's going to impact Ramos' ninth-inning job at all.

Ramos worked around three hits and a walk with two strikeouts to earn his 25th save of the season Sunday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos was called upon with a man on and nobody out in the eighth inning in this one. He put two men on to load the bases but was able to escape the frame with no damage done. Ramos came back out for the ninth and nearly allowed the tying run to score on a double by Daniel Murphy, only for Edwin Jackson to be thrown out at home to end the game. Ramos now has converted five consecutive save opportunities with a 13:4 K:BB over his last nine innings. He has performed capably as the team's closer, but the eventual return to speed by Jeurys Familia could see the former displaced from his current role.

Ramos allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out one across one inning to earn his 24th save Friday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Ramos was protecting a three-run lead, but burned through 28 pitches while adding quite a bit of drama to a divisional victory. Even though he has a mediocre 3.81 ERA to go along with a 1.31 WHIP, he's blown just two saves this season, and remains a strong fantasy asset as a closer.

Ramos struck out a pair of Diamondbacks and worked around a walk for his 23rd save Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He had a tough little stretch in late July and early August, but Ramos has righted the ship with five straight hitless, scoreless outings. However, the Mets haven't been providing him with many save opportunities; this was his first since Aug. 11.
