Strbak inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Sabres on Wednesday.

Strbak is just the latest player from Michigan State to sign his entry-level deal, following Porter Martone and Trey Augustine. In his 37 games for the Spartans this year, the 20-year-old Strbak generated three goals and 15 assists. Strbak should have a chance to secure a spot on the Opening Night roster for the 2026-27 campaign, though he is far from a lock and could wind up in the minors with AHL Rochester.

Frederic (undisclosed) is expected to be available for Thursday's game against Chicago, per Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels.

EDGE Analysis

Frederic missed five straight games due to the injury. He has four goals, six points, 58 PIM and 170 hits in 67 outings with Edmonton in 2026-27. Josh Samanski is likely to be a healthy scratch Thursday due to Frederic's return.

Wyttenbach will return to Quinnipiac for his sophomore season in 2026-27, the team announced Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Wyttenbach had a phenomenal freshman campaign in which he racked up 25 goals and 34 assists in 40 games for the Bobcats, leading the team in both categories. If he produces anywhere near that level in 2026-27, he almost certainly won't be back for a third year. Calgary selected the 19-year-old forward with the 144th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

Gauthier (upper body), who has already been ruled out against San Jose on Wednesday, is considered questionable for the Ducks' next two home games as well, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

At this point, it seems likely that Gauthier will miss at least the next three games due to his upper-body problem. Since the Olympic break, Gauthier has racked up 13 goals and three helpers, including six power-play points, in his last 18 outings. With Gauthier on the shelf, Nathan Gaucher will make his NHL debut Wednesday.

Ritchie scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Sabres.

Ritchie's point streak is up to five games (three goals, three assists). He closed out March with 11 points in 16 contests for his most productive month of the campaign. That has him up to 12 goals, 27 points (10 on the power play), 68 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 59 appearances this season.

Binnington is expected to start on the road against the Kings on Wednesday.

Binnington has a 12-19-6 record, 3.33 GAA and .873 save percentage in 38 outings in 2025-26. However, he's been far more effective recently, posting a 4-1-0 record, 1.62 GAA and .921 save percentage over his past five appearances. Los Angeles is 6-9-5 while averaging 2.70 goals per game across its past 20 matches.

Schenn scored a goal, added a power-play assist and logged three hits in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Sabres.

EDGE Analysis

Schenn's goal came in the final second of the game. He has six points, seven shots on net and eight hits over his last three outings. For the season, the 34-year-old center has earned 17 goals, 38 points, 111 shots on net, 163 hits, 40 blocked shots, 66 PIM and a minus-26 rating over 74 appearances between the Islanders and the Blues. He continues to center the second line, which makes him a quality multi-category option in fantasy.

Norris logged two power-play assists, two hits and six PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.

EDGE Analysis

Norris has gone seven games without a goal, earning three assists and eight shots on net in that span. He is up to 27 points, 55 shots on net, 16 PIM and a plus-5 rating over 37 appearances in another year ravaged by injuries. Norris has primarily played in a third-line role recently.

Byram scored an empty-net goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.

EDGE Analysis

Byram ended a 31-game goal drought with the empty-netter, which ended up as the game-winner when the Islanders scored late. Byram earned seven points, 27 shots on net, 17 hits and 12 blocked shots over 15 outings in March. He's matched his career high of 38 points and set a personal best with 11 goals through 75 outings this season. The defenseman has added 104 shots on net, 87 blocked shots, 49 hits, 48 PIM and a plus-13 rating while filling a top-four role.

Krebs scored a goal and added five hits in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.

EDGE Analysis

Krebs put the Sabres ahead 3-2 at 16:59 of the third period, though they still had to battle to keep their lead. He's scored in consecutive contests and posted seven points over his last 11 outings. Krebs is up to a career-best 11 goals as well as 36 points, 82 shots on net, 178 hits, 76 PIM, 37 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating over 75 appearances.
