Zach Parise said his left hand has improved to the point that he will play tonight against the Rangers. Parise took a Milan Jurcina shot off his hand during Sunday's game against the Islanders. An X-ray taken after the game proved negative. Parise, who leads the Devils with 27 goals, is 1-1-2 in four games against the Rangers this season.

Zach Parise does not appear to have a broken bone in his hand. Parise had X-rays taken on Sunday after blocking a shot and the results were encouraging. Look for Parise to play in Tuesday's game.

Zach Parise appeared to hurt his left hand in the New Jersey Devils-New York Islanders game. Tom Gulitti reports that Parise hasn't gotten an X-ray on that hand yet, so a further update should come in the next day or so. The best news is that Parise also said that "he feels fine" and hopes to avoid an X-ray in the first place.

Devils captain Zach Parise admitted he was "a little shaken up" initially, but said he was feeling fine after Friday night's 5-0 win in Washington despite being hit in the right side of his jaw by Brooks Laich's stick. Parise said he went through the NHL's concussion procedural testing before he came back out to the bench for the third period. "We did the normal NHL protocol thing and their doctor said everything was fine," he said. Parise was sandwiched between Laich and Matt Hendricks just outside the Devils' blue line 9:40 into the second period. Laich got his stick up and made contact with the right side of Parise's jaw in a collision that Parise and Devils coach Pete DeBoer both thought was unintentional. "I thought it was an accident." DeBeor said. "I know Brooks Laich and he's not a dirty player. So, I'm sure it was accidental."

Devils star Zach Parise turned in a three-goal hat trick before a crunching hit from two players sent him to the locker room in the second period of a 5-0 New Jersey shutout over the Capitals in Washington Friday night. Parise increased his team-high goal-scoring total to 27 but left the game at 9:40 of the second period when Washington's Matt Hendricks and Brooks Laich sandwiched the left winger near the boards. Parise had to be helped off the ice. Also contributing goals for the Devils in this one-sided game were Dainius Zubrus (16) and Patrik Elias (21). Zubrus collected his 22nd assist on the Elias goal.

Zach Parise was one of the New Jersey Devils' goal scorers in a 4-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Parise now has 23 tallies and 52 points in 61 games during the 2011-12 season. It seemed like a matter of time for him to find the net as he had 17 shots for his single tally in the last three contests.

Zach Parise is currently tied with teammate Adam Henrique for the league lead with seven shorthanded points. Fellow New Jersey forward Ilya Kovalchuk is ranked third overall with five. The Devils have scored the most goals in the NHL this season while on the penalty kill with 13. Unfortunately, they have also surrendered the most shorthanded tallies at 13 this campaign.

Zach Parise is reportedly not interested in discussing a contract extension at this critical stage of the NHL season. Parise will be an unrestricted free agent if the Devils can't re-sign him before July 1. One alternative is to trade him before the Feb. 27 trade deadline, but that seems unlikely given that the Devils will probably make the playoffs. New Jersey has a 31-19-4 record, which is currently good enough for the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Zach Parise scored two goals, including the go-ahead marker, in the Devils' 5-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens Thursday night. Parise's second goal gave the Devils their first lead of the game and never looked back afterwards. Parise has finally started to find his game after beginning the season in a terrible funk. With the two goals tonight, the speedy winger now has 43 points in 50 games on the season.
