Zach Parise (foot) might spend some time on the ice this week. Parise hasn't played since Dec. 22 due to a stress fracture in his left foot. Although his return isn't immediate, Minnesota needs him back as soon as possible given that Mikko Koivu had ankle surgery on Monday.

Zach Parise will be out of action for a minimum of three more games but likely more. An MRI confirmed there is a stress fracture in his left foot that is going to need some time to heal. "We've got to keep him off the ice until it starts to feel better and then we might have to keep him off a little bit longer", said Minneosta coach Mike Yeo."We just have to make sure he gets a full opportunity to heal." Althoiugh Parise should be recovered in time to play in the Olympic games in February, he may miss a good part of January.
