Toffoli (illness) took part in line rushes during morning skate and is expected to play Wednesday against the Blackhawks, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
Toffoli's return to the lineup won't be confirmed until he's formally activated from injured reserve, but that's likely to occur at some point in the afternoon. The winger, who has 12 goals and 27 points over 41 games, had been sidelined with a case of mononucleosis over the last two weeks. Expect him to skate on the second line with Jeff Carter and Dwight King on Wednesday evening.

Toffoli (illness) skated on a line with Dwight King and Jeff Carter at practice Tuesday, reports LA Kings Insider's Jon Rosen.
Per the report, there's "a decent chance" that Toffoli will play Wednesday against Chicago, though though a final determination on that front may not arrive until shortly before game-time.

Toffoli (illness) took contact in practice Monday and could play Wednesday.
Toffoli was dealing with mononucleosis prior to the All-Star break, and he was moved to IR last weekend to free up a spot on the roster. At this point, Toffoli should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game, and more information should be available after Tuesday's skate. Toffoli has 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points on the season.

Toffoli (illness) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
Though Toffoli is progressing in his recovery from mononucleosis faster than initially anticipated, he's still not expected to return to action until after the All-Star break. By moving him to IR, the Kings will be able to recall J.F. Berube from AHL Manchester, who is expected to serve as the backup goalie for Saturday's game against the Ducks with Martin Jones (undisclosed) likely unavailable.

Toffoli (illness) has progressed faster from his bout with mononucleosis than was expected, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
Toffoli has been able to skate on his own the past few days, but took it one step further Saturday morning, participating with the Kings' projected healthy scratches during the on-ice session. The Kings initially projected Toffoli to miss three-to-four weeks after he was diagnosed with mono last Saturday, but there now seems to be hope that he could return immediately following the All-Star break.

Toffoli (illness) is projected to miss three-to-four weeks while he recovers from mononucleosis, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
Toffoli appeared to create some optimism for a quick return by skating for about 10 minutes the last two days, but it seems that his activity was just out of an effort to stay conditioned. Don't look for Toffoli to return to action until after the All-Star break.

Toffoli (illness) got in a light skating session Tuesday, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
Toffoli was ruled out indefinitely Saturday due to mononucleosis, but his presence on the ice offers some encouragement that the worst of his symptoms may have subsided. Historically, the recovery time from the illness has typically lasted about two or three weeks. The team figures to provide updates on his progress over the next several days, but a return shouldn't be considered imminent until he starts practicing with the team.

Toffoli has been sidelined by mononucleosis, according to SLAM Sports. He was not placed on injured reserve; there is no estimate for this return.
The typical recovery time for mono is two-to-three weeks, but in some cases, the symptoms can drag on for months. It is communicable, so the Kings will keep him isolated from the rest of the team. Reserve him immediately.

Toffoli scored a goal in his second straight game Monday versus the Flames.
Toffli has fired off four shots apiece in both contests, suggesting the 10-game goalless streak he noticed earlier in the month was mostly a fluke. The 22-year-old has taken big steps forward in his sophomore season, as his 12 goals and 14 assists are comparable to the numbers he posted as a rookie, but he's needed 25 fewer games this time around.

Toffoli picked up a pair of helpers in Friday's loss to the Canadiens.
While he has been inconsistent this season, Toffoli has still managed 10 goals and 23 points in 30 games, to go with an impressive plus-15 rating. It's worth noting, however, Toffoli has been skating on the fourth line of late, seeing reduced ice time. He's too good to stay in that spot for long, though, as the Kings' second-highest goal-scorer will be back in the top-six in no time. The youngster is on pace for a 25-goal, 60-point campaign in just his second full NHL season.
