Rask (concussion) will defend the home net Thursday against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
After a brief IR stint that included the All-Star break, Rask retakes the cage looking to pick up where he left off near the end of the first half. The veteran netminder allowed three or fewer goals in each of his last eight appearances, collecting a 6-0-1 record over that span. He will be tasked with shutting down a Flyers squad that enters the night riding a five-game winning streak.

Coach Bruce Cassidy relayed that there is a "good chance" Rask (concussion) will play Thursday night against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
We'll operate under the assumption that the Bruins will roll with Rask on Thursday, so long as the work that the goalie got in at Wednesday's practice doesn't result in any setbacks related to the concussion he sustained Jan. 19. If Rask does get the nod, he'll be facing a surging Philadelphia squad that logged its season-high fifth straight win in a 1-0 decision over the Rangers on Tuesday.

Per coach Bruce Cassidy, Rask (concussion) could play as soon as Thursday night against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
In order to do so, Rask would have to practice with his teammates Wednesday, but that could happen since the veteran goalie was able to skate on his own Tuesday. In Rask's absence, Zane McIntyre is on hand to back up Jaroslav Halak.

Rask (concussion) took the ice prior to the Bruins' Tuesday morning skate, Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rask won't be available for Tuesday night's game against the Jets, but his presence on the ice suggests that he won't be out for long. As long as the veteran netminder -- who the Bruins placed on IR retroactive to January 19th -- remains out, Zane McIntyre is in line to back up Jaroslav Halak.

Rask (concussion) was placed on injured reserve Monday retroactive to Jan. 19 and won't be in the lineup versus Winnipeg on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Based on his retroactive designation, Rask can still be activated ahead of Thursday's clash with Philadelphia. In the meantime, Zane McIntyre was promoted from the minors on an emergency basis and figures to backup Jaroslav Halak against the Jets on Tuesday.

Rask exited Saturday's game against the Rangers after getting crashed into by Filip Chytil.
EDGE Analysis
Chyil added insult to injury by scoring on the play just before getting pushed into Rask by Boston's Charlie McAvoy. Jaroslav Halak will replace Rask, who stopped six of seven shots before exiting. Luckily for the Finnish netminder, Boston doesn't play again until Jan. 29, giving him ample time to recover.

Rask is slated to start Saturday's game against the Rangers, Matt Porter of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rask's win in Boston's 5-2 decision over the Blues on Thursday was his 252nd, a mark that ties the 31-year-old with Tiny Thompson for the franchise high in that category. In addition to the milestone, Rask's 28-save effort against St. Louis gives him a 6-0-1 record since Dec. 29. Meanwhile, backup Jaroslav Halak, who started the season strong, has faltered of late. Given that context, as well as the fact the Bruins are as healthy as they have been all season, Rask profiles as a solid fantasy option at this stage of the campaign. On Saturday, he'll take aim at a Rangers squad that has won three of four games following a five-game slide earlier this month.

Rask propelled the Bruins to a 5-2 victory over the Blues with 28 saves Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Rask conceded twice in the second period to fall behind 2-1, but Boston responded with four unanswered goals to push the Finnish goalie's record to 14-8-3. Backup Jaroslav Halak made a strong push for playing time earlier this season, but Rask is back to being the top dog in net for the Bruins. Rask's 6-0-1 in his past seven starts while Halak's 1-3-0 in his last four.

Rask will guard the goal in Thursday's home game against the Blues, Matt Porter of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rask was a little shaky in his last start Monday against Montreal, surrendering three goals on 22 shots en route to a 3-2 loss. The Finnish backstop will look to bounce back and pick up his 14th win of the season in a home matchup with a St. Louis club that's only averaging 2.44 goals per game away from home this campaign, 26th in the NHL.

Rask will defend the cage against the Habs on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Rask will enter Monday's contest sporting a five-game winning streak, during which he recorded a 1.38 GAA and .955 save percentage. With a back-to-back on the schedule, the Finnish netminder figures to make two more starts before the All-Star break. Despite his strong run of form, the 31-year-old figures to continue splitting time with Jaroslav Halak in order to keep Rask rested heading into the postseason.
