Travis Hamonic will be out of action for at least two weeks after suffering facial injuries on Saturday night.
He required surgery to repair a broken nose and needed stitches after catching a deflected shot from Buffalo blueliner Christian Ehrhoff. Hamonic is third on the club in ice time at 22:17 per game, so his absence will hurt an already thin defense corps.

He is 10th in the league in blocked shots, with 101, and sits 25th overall with 116 hits. Hamonic has also chipped in 11 points and 51 penalty minutes.
