Tatar posted an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar helped out on a Nico Hischier goal in the third period. While he has a goal and an assist in his last three games, Tatar was ice-cold with an 11-game point drought before his recent return to the scoresheet. The 31-year-old winger can be streaky at times -- he's at 19 points, 78 shots on net, 43 hits and a minus-11 rating through 45 appearances. He's played in a middle-six role for much of the season.

Tatar totaled one shot, two hits and a minus-2 rating Tuesday's 7-1 loss to Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar was far from the only New Jersey player who saw his rating take a hit in this one, as 14 of the team's 18 skaters finished the night at minus-2 or worse. The 31-year-old winger sports an unsightly minus-12 mark in that category, including a minus-10 rating during Tatar's active 10-game point drought. Perhaps the All-Star break will allow Tatar to reset and rediscover the form that helped him rack up 17 points in 32 games prior to this disastrous drought.

Tatar (COVID-19 protocols) will be activated off the non-roster list and return to action Tuesday versus the Bruins, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar is expected to return to a second-line role versus Boston following his three-game absence. The 31-year-old winger has picked up 14 points through 30 contests this year.

Tatar entered the COVID-19 protocols Sunday, according to Sam Kasan of the Devils' official site.
EDGE Analysis
The Devils removed five players from the COVID-19 protocols Sunday, but now they will be forced to play a few games without Tatar, who has been productive in his first year with New Jersey. Tatar has six goals and eight assists across 30 appearances in 2021-22.

Tatar scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar brought the Devils within a goal after scoring on a breakaway set up by Dougie Hamilton in the second period. That was it for the Devils' offense in the contest. The 31-year-old Tatar has five markers, six assists, 43 shots, 21 hits and a minus-1 rating through 21 contests. He's been reasonably effective in a middle-six role lately, with eight of his points coming in the last 11 games.

Tatar scored a goal on his only shot in Friday's 4-2 loss to Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar took a perfect pass from Andreas Johnsson and beat Juuse Saros on a breakaway to close out the scoring with 28 seconds remaining in the third period. It was the third goal of the year for the first-year Devil, who is starting to heat up with a point in six of his last eight games. All three of his goals have come during that stretch.

Tatar has amassed a goal and two assists in his last four games.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar produced an assist in Sunday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Rangers. The winger went through a six-game drought recently, but he's bounced back with stronger play recently. Overall, he's at six points, 23 shots on net, 16 hits and a minus-1 rating through 14 appearances. He may move around the lineup, but don't expect Tatar to produce much more offense than a middle-six winger.

Tatar recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar opened the season in a third-line role, but it was that unit centered by Dawson Mercer that created Andreas Johnsson's third-period tally. A somewhat streaky scorer, Tatar put up 30 points in 50 games with the Canadiens last year, although he saw no playing time after Game 5 of the first-round playoff series against the Maple Leafs. The Czech winger's role will likely go a long way in determining his level of production this year, but he should move up the lineup if head coach Lindy Ruff needs to shake things up.

Tatar (undisclosed) skated with Yegor Sharangovich and Jack Hughes during Friday's practice, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar missed Montreal's last 17 games, including the playoffs, last season, but his presence on the ice Friday all but confirms he's no longer dealing with that injury. The 30-year-old winger picked up 10 goals and 30 points in 50 regular-season contests with the Canadiens in 2020-21 and should be able to produce 20-plus goals and 55-plus points with relative ease if he's able to stay healthy during the upcoming campaign.

Tatar (undisclosed) signed a two-year, $9 million contract with the Devils on Thursday, The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tatar was a solid contributor in a middle-six role for the Canadiens last season, racking up 10 goals, 30 points, 82 shots and 63 hits while averaging 14:59 of ice time through 50 contests. The 30-year-old winger will likely skate on New Jersey's first or second line and should produce similarly in 2021-22, making him a nice secondary fantasy option.
