Kuhnhackl (shoulder) has been sent to Bridgeport of the AHL, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl was in training camp with the Islanders on a professional tryout and will continue to rehabilitate his shoulder at Bridgeport. When he is deemed healthy, Kuhnhackl could be called back up by the Islanders to provide depth on offense, but he is unlikely to have a regular role for the Isles.

Kuhnhackl (shoulder) is in camp with the Islanders on a professional tryout, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl had seven goals and eight assists in 64 games for the Isles over the past two seasons and could have a role on the team as a part-time player when healthy. The Islanders are looking for wings to play alongside Jean-Gabriel Pageau on the third line.

Kuhnhackl (undisclosed) had successful surgery and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2020-21 campaign, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
General manager Lou Lamoriello didn't provide details regarding the nature of Kuhnhackl's ailment other than the fact that he has successful surgery. Even once fully fit, the winger is far from a lock for the lineup on a nightly basis and could serve as a healthy scratch from time to time.

Kuhnhackl (undisclosed) has left the bubble and won't return for the rest of the postseason, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl has been a healthy scratch in every game since Aug. 5, but he has an apparent injury that will keep him out. Casey Cizikas (undisclosed) will also go back to New York.

Kuhnhackl is expected to be available to play Saturday after missing the game Thursday due to an undisclosed injury, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
One thing to remember about Kuhnhackl is that he may not have played Thursday even if recovered as he had been a healthy scratch for the previous four games and the same may be true Saturday. The Islanders are reeling right now and may look for a change in the lineup to get out of their current team-wide slump. Kuhnhackl would also have a better chance of playing if Clutterbuck (undisclosed) is unable to suit up.

Kuhnhackl will not be in the lineup against the Senators on Thursday due to an undisclosed injury, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl hasn't played in the team's last four games. Instead, he's served as a healthy scratch in the press box, so there was no guarantee the winger would have played anyway. Without a clear spot in the lineup, the German won't offer much in terms of fantasy value the rest of the way.

Kuhnhackl is in the lineup for the third time in the last four games for the Islanders on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl had been a healthy scratch for six straight games before being given another chance to earn more playing time. The truth is, if not for several injuries to the forward group of the Islanders, Kuhnhackl may still be watching from the press box. On the season Kuhnhackl only has three goals and six assists in 26 games and hasn't registered a goal in his last 10 games.

Kuhnhackl is expected to be a healthy scratch Tuesday versus the Stars, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Barry Trotz was openly critical of Kuhnhackl's performance after the 4-3 overtime loss to Vancouver on Saturday. The Islanders also called up former first-round pick Kieffer Bellows on Monday which means someone has to sit and it wasn't hard to connect the dots and figure out that person would be Kuhnhackl. How long Kuhnhackl is out of the lineup for could very well depend upon how the team and Bellows respond both Tuesday and in upcoming games. The Islanders no longer how a playoff cushion and are fighting for every point and Trotz will likely reward those who are playing well with more ice time and sit those who aren't

Kuhnhackl was benched during the third period of the Islanders' 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks on Saturday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl was on the ice for the first three goals that the Canucks scored and coach Barry Trotz wasn't about to make it four. Trotz stated after that the game that the team doesn't have any margin for error and if a player doesn't have it that night, then the team will have to move on without that player. Whether or not Kuhnhackl plays in the next game for the Islanders, Tuesday versus Dallas, remains to be seen.

Kuhnhackl hasn't lit the lamp in his last seven games for the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl has two helpers during this span but only three goals in 27 games for the Islanders this season and seven goals over 59 games as a member of the team. In a perfect world, Kuhnhackl wouldn't be playing this many games for the Islanders, but with Ross Johnston being the only extra forward on the roster and no one at the AHL level standing out offensively, coach Barry Trotz has been forced to use him more than he would likely prefer.
