Kuhnackl signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Islanders on Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnackl was in and out of the lineup through the 2018-19 campaign, ultimately dressing for a career-low 36 contests. While slightly elevated ice time led to a near doubling of his point rate last season, he still hasn't reached the point of widespread fantasy relevance.

Kuhnhackl had two assists and had a rating of plus-1 in the Islanders four-game sweep of the Penguins in the first round of the playoffs.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl actually set the tone for the Islanders when he scored a goal early in Game 1. That goal ended up being overturned via replay, Matt Martin was offsides, but it got the crowd into the game and the Islanders scored shortly thereafter. Kuhnhackl has solidified his role on the third-line for the Islanders and should remain there during the remainder of their playoff run.

Kuhnhackl has been held scoreless in his last five games.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl has played back to back games due to injuries to Valterri Filppula (shoulder) and Andrew Ladd (knee). Kuhnhackl will likely keep seeing playing time as the Isles have now lost Tanner Fritz (hand) for the remainder of the season and general manager Lou Lamoriello stated Sunday that he has no plans to call up any players from Bridgeport of the AHL. On the season Kuhnhackl has four goals and nine points in 33 games and isn't likely the answer to any fantasy question you may have during the final week of the NHL regular season.

Kuhnhackl recorded a goal and two blocked shots in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl forced a turnover before nonchalantly dangling the puck into the offensive zone and wristing it past Capitals netminder Braden Holtby, appearing to expect an offside whistle to render the play dead throughout the entire process. Alas, the German winger found the back of the net for the first time since Nov. 13, but his fantasy upside remains extremely limited until he can log regular minutes.

Kuhnhackl will play on the second-line with Mathew Barzal and Josh Bailey on Thursday in Columbus, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl was expected to be a healthy scratch for the second straight game but was taking line rushes in place of Michael Dal Colle during warmups. There is no word on if Dal Colle suffered an injury or if coach Barry Trotz just decided that Kuhnhackl will give the team a better chance to win versus the Blue Jackets. Kuhnhackl has three goal and three assists in 21 games this season for the Islanders.

Kuhnhackl is expected to be a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks, NHL.com's Scott King reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl had previously been sidelined due to an illness, but it appears as though that's no longer an issue. The 27-year-old winger will have to wait until after the NHL's All-Star break for his next opportunity to crack the lineup.

Kuhnhackl (illness) will not play in Sunday's contest against Anaheim, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even if Kuhnhackl wasn't dealing with an ailment, he likely wouldn't be in the lineup anyway. He's been injured or a healthy scratch in 18 of the last 20 games and has just six points in 19 contests this season. The 6-foot-2 forward will have one more chance to play before the All-Star break on Tuesday in Chicago.

Kuhnhackl (illness) didn't make the trip to the nation's capital for Friday's game against Washington, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl will remain absent for Friday's game against the Capitals as he continues to battle a bug. Even when healthy, the 26-year-old winger doesn't always draw into the lineup. He should be evaluated again ahead of Sunday's game against the Ducks.

Kuhnhackl didn't play Thursday against New Jersey due to an illness, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl likely would have replaced Michael Dal Colle in the lineup for Thursday's contest if he hadn't fallen ill prior to puck drop. The 26-year-old winger will be reevaluated prior to Friday's matchup with Washington.

Kuhnhackl (undisclosed) will be in the lineup versus the Islanders on Thursday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhnhackl has been injured or scratched in 10 of the last 11 games, but will rejoin the lineup with Valtteri Filppula (upper body) out of action. The 26-year-old Kuhnhackl has tallied a mere six point in his 18 outings this season and will likely be hard pressed to reach his career-high 16 points from 2016-17.
