Timo Pielmeier did not get a qualifying offer from New Jersey. The 22-year-old keeper has already signed on to play in his native Germany next season. He spent most the 2011-12 season in the ECHL with the Elmira Jackals.

The New Jersey Devils have acquired Timo Pielmeier as part of a four-player swap with the Anaheim Ducks. Pielmeier has a 3.45 GAA and .896 save percentage in 10 ECHL games this season. The Devils could certainly use young goaltending as they get ready to enter the post-Martin Brodeur years, but Pielmeier isn't necessarily the answer.
