Heed agreed to terms on a contract with HC Lugano (NLA) through Nov. 15.
EDGE Analysis
Heed will become an unrestricted free agent once the league season officially ends. His deal with Lugano will allow him to join up with another NHL club ahead of 2020-21 training camps, clearing the way for him to find a new home. The blueliner only logged 38 games with San Jose this year, in which he notched one goal, four assists and 44 shots, so he may not have a lot of suitors.

Heed notched a power-play assist in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Heed has picked up a goal and three helpers in his last eight outings, which accounts for all but one of his points through 35 games this season. The 29-year-old defenseman has added a modest 40 shots, 30 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating -- he's probably not worth a look in fantasy.

Heed recorded an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Heed picked up his third point in his last eight outings, and his fourth of the year through 33 games. The 29-year-old defenseman has added 39 shots on goal, 28 blocks and a minus-6 rating this year. Saturday was also Heed's 100th career game. With the Sharks running thin on defense with Erik Karlsson (thumb) and Jacob Middleton (lower body) out, expect Heed to continue to see regular playing time.

Heed recorded an assist, a shot on net and a blocked shot in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Heed was a regular in the press box before Erik Karlsson (finger) was ruled out for the season and Brenden Dillon was shipped to the nation's capital. Now, the 29-year-old Heed has played six straight games -- he hasn't even played two in a row since December -- and has carved out a role on the power play. In that stretch, the Swedish blueliner has put up two points despite averaging 15:35 of ice time per contest.

Heed was scratched in Saturday's clash with Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
Heed saw a 10-game stint on the sidelines come to a close versus Colorado on Jan. 16, in which he logged just 12:28 of ice time, but was back up in the press box Saturday. Coming out of the All-Star break, the Swedish defender is unlikely to see much ice time and likely would need a player or two to pick up an injury in order to get into the lineup.

Heed posted an assist, a plus-2 rating, three hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Heed's helper on Patrick Marleau's first-period goal was the former's first point of the season. Heed has managed 14 shots on goal, 10 hits and nine blocked shots in 13 appearances. He's a third-pairing defenseman at best and prone to being a healthy scratch at times.

Heed (upper body) fired a shot on goal in 8:51 in a 3-1 win over the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Heed missed four contests with the injury, and didn't see a lot of ice in his return. Coach Pete DeBoer typically leans heavily on his top-four defensemen, so Heed will typically only pick up a few minutes anyway. He's still looking for his first point of the season.

Heed (upper body) will draw into the lineup for Sunday's game against Calgary, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heed has missed the last four games due to the upper-body injury, but will finally return to the lineup for the first time since Opening Night. The 28-year-old will replace Trevor Carrick in the lineup on the third defensive pair.

Heed (upper body) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Predators, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
This isn't expected to be a long-term issue. Since Heed hasn't played since Oct. 2, the team may place him on injured reserve to free up a roster spot. If that happens, Heed would still be eligible to play Thursday versus the Blackhawks assuming he's healthy.
