Greiss will command the crease Friday in a home game versus the Capitals, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Greiss was the one who pitched a 19-save shutout over the Capitals in D.C. on Jan. 18, so coach Barry Trotz will send him out once against the bench boss' former team. This will be the German's first start in five games, as Robin Lehner is widening the gap as the No. 1 goalie for the Islanders.

Greiss will start between the pipes Wednesday in Calgary, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Greiss and Robin Lehner continue to split starts and continue to both be successful while doing so. Greiss has not allowed more than a goal in any of his last six starts, posting a 5-0-1 record with a sterling 0.49 GAA and a .984 save percentage over that span. That six-game stretch includes two contests against the Lightning and another against the Capitals, so weak competition wasn't behind the run. He will be tested again Wednesday by a Flames club that leads the league in scoring (4.25 goals per game) on home ice.

Greiss made 31 saves in a 3-0 win over the Blue Jackets on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Greiss bricked the twine tent right up for what was his third shutouts in five starts. In that span, he's 4-0-1 with a .987 save percentage. The Isles are the top defensive team in the NHL and both Greiss and Robin Lehner have been at the core of that. The two goalies are in a straight platoon, but that doesn't reduce either of fantasy values. Be sure he's in your blue paint every time he starts.

Greiss will be between the pipes for Thursday's road clash with Columbus, Craig Merz of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Greiss has enjoyed a bounceback campaign in 2018-19, going 16-8-2 with a 2.28 GAA and .927 save percentage over 29 games. The German netminder has been on fire over his past five starts, as well, never allowing more than a single goal per game and shutting out his opponents twice.

Greiss made 26 saves in Sunday's 2-1 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Apart from Mikael Grandlund's power-play goal in the second period, Greiss was perfect Sunday. He's posted a 4-0-1 record in his last five starts, giving up a total of three goals over that stretch. New York's next game comes against the Sabres on Tuesday, and there has been no official announcement whether Greiss or Robin Lehner will get the start in Buffalo.

Greiss gets the starting nod for Sunday's home game versus the Wild, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Greiss has fallen to the No. 2 goaltending option for the Islanders, but he's been lights in his last four starts dating back to Jan. 13. In that span, he posted two shutouts and allowed two total goals for a .985 save percentage and 3-0-1 record. The Wild have a lethargic offense which sets Greiss up well to showcase another dominating performance.

Greiss made 30 saves in Thursday's 2-1 shootout win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Greiss' 41-save shutout was spoiled with a shootout loss to the Lightning in his last start, but he came out on top in the skills challenge this time, stymieing all four of New Jersey's shooters. Coach Barry Trotz has turned the Islanders into a defensive powerhouse after coming over from the Stanley Cup champion Capitals, but Greiss hasn't gotten as many opportunities to benefit from the tight defense in front of him recently with Robin Lehner getting the majority of the starts for New York. The German netminder remains an excellent streaming option whenever he gets the call for the league's stingiest club.

Greiss is listed in the "Players to Watch" column in Mike G. Morreale of NHL.com's preview of the Islanders at the Devils on Thursday,
EDGE Analysis
Look for Greiss in goal against a Devils team that owns a 13-8-4 record at home this season. The German was a perfect 41 for 41 on save chances in last Friday's clash with the Lightning, but the Bolts got the best of him in the shootout. Both Greiss and Robin Lehner have been phenomenal this season, as they boast progressive save percentages of .924 and .932, respectively.

Greiss stopped all 41 shots he faced in regulation and overtime before getting beaten by Victor Hedman to begin the shootout in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
For the second straight start, Greiss kept the other team off the scoreboard for at least three periods, but unlike his last outing before the All-Star break, the Islanders' offense couldn't give him any support. The 33-year-old now has a 2.39 GAA and .924 save percentage on the season, but unless Robin Lehner slumps or gets hurt, Greiss will remain stuck as the team's No. 2 netminder.

Greiss will start in the blue paint Friday when the Islanders hosting the Lightning, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a pair of stellar outings, Greiss will take on a Lightning club that he faced Jan. 13 and shut down to the tune of 38 saves on 39 shots. He should be challenged by plenty of pucks versus a Tampa Bay squad that averages the second-most goals per game (3.60) on the road. The Bolts also sit third in the league with 33.4 road shots per game.
