Skinner will defend the home cage Tuesday versus the Mammoth, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner has registered a 2-3-1 record with one shutout, a .903 save percentage and a 2.31 GAA over six appearances to begin 2025-26. The Alberta native will face a red-hot Utah squad that has won seven straight games and is tied for fifth in the NHL with 3.70 goals per game this season.

Skinner stopped 20 of 23 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Kraken.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner has yet to really blow a game, but the Oilers aren't giving him sufficient support most of the time. He's now 2-3-1 over six starts despite a 2.31 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Skinner still needs to show the ability to steal a game when his teammates don't have their best performance, but things should even out eventually. Expect Calvin Pickard to get the starting nod in Sunday's road game in Vancouver.

Skinner will defend the road net against Seattle on Saturday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner is coming off a 19-save effort in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over Ottawa. He has a 2-2-1 record this season while stopping 110 of 121 shots. Seattle ranks 23rd in the league with 2.75 goals per game this campaign.

Skinner made 21 saves Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime victory over Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
It was Skinner's 100th NHL win. The Oilers will use patience with their netminder, who needs to keep working on his glove hand and the way he handles the puck. Skinner is working with a new goalie coach, and while he's just 2-2-1, he does have a solid 2.17 GAA. That's better than he's delivered in any season so far. We are keeping the faith.

Skinner will defend the road net against Ottawa on Tuesday, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner has lost his last two outings while making 42 saves on 48 shots. He has a 1-2-1 record through four appearances this campaign but owns a mark of 5-1-0 in six previous regular-season outings versus the Senators. Ottawa is tied for 11th in the league with 3.17 goals per game in 2025-26.

Skinner made 20 of 23 saves in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner's struggles from his last appearance continued, allowing three goals in the second period before the rookie Emmitt Finnie tied the bow on his breakout performance with an empty-net tally. With the loss, Skinner now has a 1-2-1 record with a 2.23 GAA and a .909 save percentage in four appearances this season. The 26-year-old goalie's performances across his three starts during Edmonton's four-game road trip display some of the inconsistencies he's faced in his career. After a 30-save shutout win over the Rangers, he surrendered three goals each to the Islanders and Red Wings. For the time being, Skinner might continue to be a coin-flip in net for the Oilers, making him a frustrating option in fantasy, but one with decent value playing for the reigning Stanley Cup runners-up. His next chance to bounce back is Tuesday against the Senators, should he get the start over Calvin Pickard.

Skinner will start Sunday's game against the Red WIngs, Paige Martin of the Oilers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner will be tasked with stopping the Red Wings, winners of four straight games, Sunday. The 26-year-old has allowed three goals twice so far in his three starts -- both of his losses -- and also has a shutout on the season. All told, the goaltender has a 1.97 GAA and .921 save percentage, a strong start to the campaign.

Skinner stopped 21 of 24 shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Islanders. The fourth goal was an empty-netter with nine seconds left in the game.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner was beaten at least once in each period en route to suffering his first defeat in regulation time of the campaign. The 26-year-old has had two subpar showings and one outstanding one, as he shut out the Rangers on Tuesday before this loss to the Islanders. Skinner has gone 1-1-1 with a 1.97 GAA and a .921 save percentage. The Oilers will continue their road trip against the Devils on Saturday.

Skinner will guard the road goal versus the Islanders on Thursday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skinner shut out the Rangers on Tuesday, so it's not a surprise he'll be rewarded with a second straight start. Calvin Pickard is also in the mix, but if Skinner gets on a good run of play, he'll likely continue to handle a starting role. The Islanders have struggled a bit early on, scoring just seven goals over their first three games.

Skinner turned aside all 30 shots he faced in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old netminder was especially busy in the third period, kicking out 13 shots. New York tried desperately to find an equalizer before Adam Henrique put the game out of reach with an empty-netter. It was an impressive showing from Skinner after he got stuck with an OT loss in the Oilers' season opener last Wednesday. He's allowed three goals on 52 shots to begin the campaign. Skinner needs to improve his consistency to lock down the top spot in the Edmonton crease.
