Stamkos racked up four goals and four assists over the last seven games of the season. The 35-year-old forward showed some signs of decline in his first year with the Predators, ending up with 53 points (21 on the power play), 174 shots on net, 66 hits, 46 blocked shots, 48 PIM and a minus-36 rating over 82 appearances. He's missed just five games over the last four years, which is impressive given the durability concerns earlier in his career. Still, he shot 15.6 percent this year, in line with his career average -- his lack of production is almost exclusively due to the Predators' overall struggles and his own drop in shot volume.

The 35-year-old forward has had a few bursts of offense, but he's only managed to put up two point streaks of at least five contests. He's at 27 goals, 25 assists, 21 power-play points, 169 shots on net, 65 hits, 45 blocked shots, 48 PIM and a minus-33 rating over 79 outings in his first year with the Predators.

This was Stamkos' first multi-point effort since March 8. The highly-decorated center now sits just four power-play goals shy of tying Dino Ciccarelli for 10th all-time in NHL history. Stamkos has scored in three straight games and has six points in that span, so he appears to be ending 2024-25 on a strong note after registering just one assist over seven outings prior to this streak. On the season, the 35-year-old has accounted for 27 markers (14 with the man advantage), 24 helpers and a minus-32 rating over 78 appearances.

This is his lowest-scoring season in a campaign in which he's played at least 50 games since he had 46 points over 79 contests as a rookie in 2008-09, though he's had some worse years due to injuries or abbreviated seasons.

That was all Jake Oettinger gave up, and the Stars rallied in the third to take the win. Stamkos has been putting up solid numbers in recent weeks and has found the back of the net six times, while also adding five assists, across his 10 appearances in March. The 35-year-old veteran is having a down season for his standards, though, and unless something extraordinary happens, this will be the first season since 2020-21 in which he doesn't reach the 40-goal plateau. Through 68 contests, he's up to 23 goals and 44 total points.

Stamkos put the Predators up 2-0 in the second period, but he was also on the ice for both of the Sharks' goals in a 14-second span in the third. On the bright side, the 35-year-old stayed hot on offense with his fifth goal and ninth point during his current four-game streak. For the season, he's at 22 goals, 20 helpers, 16 power-play points, 140 shots on net and a minus-21 rating across 64 appearances in what's been one of his most challenging healthy seasons.

Stamkos scored all three goals in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blackhawks.

He bounced back from that and completed the 14th hat trick of his career -- and his first with Nashville -- with his goal 2:39 into overtime. This was Stamkos' second multi-point effort in a row as he tries to make up for his recent 13-game slump. He set up tallies by Brady Skjei and Luke Evangelista in Thursday's win. Stamkos is up to 38 points (14 on the power play), 132 shots on net, 52 hits, 33 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a minus-20 rating over 62 appearances -- he's on pace for his worst non-injury-shortened season since his rookie year.

A 13-game point drought for Stamkos got erased midway through the first period when he helped set up a Ryan O'Reilly tally. The 35-year-old Stamkos then found the back of the net himself in the second before having a hand in O'Reilly's second goal of the night in the final frame. Stamkos' first season in Nashville has not gone according to plan, and the former Lightning star has a meager 18 goals and 36 points in 61 appearances with a minus-21 rating. His streak of three straight seasons with more than 30 goals and 80 points will come to an end in 2024-25, but Stamkos still has time to put together a strong finish to the campaign.
